PROCEDURE
Step 3
What I Did
◦ To build my product I first built a base out of PVC pipe. Then I
drilled holes through the PVC, added a hose attachment, and
a orbit water timer to make the watering aspect work.
◦ Afterwards, I built a shade and attached a pulley to cover the
plant from the sun.
◦ Lastly, I controlled this shade by coding a raspberry pi that
was connected to a motor shield to turn a motor clockwise or
counter-clockwise. The motor was powered by a 9-volt
battery and the raspberry pi was powered by a battery pack.
The most challeging part of my
procedure was trying to get the
shade to lift because my motor
could not lift the shade I had,
so I had to replace the shade Challenges
and use lighter materials.
With My
I also thought that attaching
the pulley was challenging Procedure
because it was very small, and
it was hard to connect to the
wooden piece behind it.
What I Would Do Differently

To make this easier I would research

more.

I would also try to plan my idea out

more precisely in the beginning.
