Registration
After you are added to the
Simplilearn Learning Management
System as a learner, you will
receive an email.

Click on the URL to log in to your


company’s learner account and
activate the course(s) assigned to
you.

Recommended browsers:

Registration
The first time you log in to your account, you are required to go through a three-step setup that
prompts you to fill in your profile and design a custom study plan.

Step 1: Set up your Simplilearn profile


➢ Your username will be your email
➢ Please complete the form
and select “I agree to be
contacted over mail”
➢ Click “Sign Up”

NOTE: If your organization has implemented Single Sign


On(SSO), this slide will not be displayed.
Registration
Note: This is the default login
slide of your learning portal. To
start or return to your course, you
need to
enter the portal’s URL
(<<customer>>.lms.simplilearn.co
m) in the browser and log in.

Please bookmark the URL for


future access.

NOTE: If your organization has


implemented Single Sign On(SSO),
this slide will not be displayed.
Setting Up Your Account
Step 2: Select a study plan
➢ A study plan is a self-commitment made at
the beginning of your learning journey, where
you commit to the number of hours a week
you intend to dedicate to learning Simplilearn
courses. Select the number of hours and
then click “Proceed.”
➢ You can also set a date by which you want to
complete the course.
➢ Email reminders are set to keep you on
track in case you do not meet your Study
Plan for two consecutive weeks.

Step 3: Click START LEARNING

Unique App Features:

➢ Offline Viewing: This feature lets you download course


content (videos and interactive elements) and view it
without internet connection. All videos will be saved in the
app.

Setting Up Focus Course
A Focus Course is a course to which you dedicate all your Study Plan hours. Depending on your Study
Plan, the course is broken down into structured weekly learning goals, allowing you to keep track of what
you learn/should learn each week to maintain a suitable learning pace.

To create a Focus Course:


1. Click on “Create a Focus Course”
2. Select your course 3
3. Select “Proceed”

To create a Focus Course:

1. Click on “Create a Focus Course.”

4. Edit your Study Plan (if you wish) by
either using the slider or by defining

the exact date you’d like to

complete the course.
5. Select “Proceed.”

Setting Up Focus Course
Setting up a focus course is not mandatory. You can proceed without it and set it up later.

1. To proceed without setting up a focus


course, select “No Thanks.”
2. If you need to set up a focus course
later, click on the three dots at the
bottom-right corner of the course and
select “Set as Focus Course.”

will be distinctly visible with a full

Setting Up Focus Course
You have now set up your focus course and can get an overview of the tasks you’re expected to complete
according to your study plan.

To get started with your Week 1 task


list, select “Go To My Tasks”
Learning Path
Your courses are arranged in a Learning Path. A Demo

Learning Path is a custom path built by the
enterprise admin for the learners. There could be 2
mandatory and elective courses in a learning
path.

1) Name of the Learning Path assigned to you


2) The Learning Path is made up of “Steps.” Each

“Step” is made up of one or more courses.
3) Each course is represented by a course tile. The
course tile is a square graphic with the course title 4
and validity information on it.
4) The course tile with the “Live Classes” icon is where
you would visit to sign up for and attend Live Virtual
Classes.
Important Note: “Live Virtual Class – Register and
Attend” - please don’t skip this step as it will impact
the successful progression of your program. Signing
up for classes in this course tile is mandatory.
Start Learning
To get started with your course, select Start Now. This will take you to the course’s Learning
Environment.

Changing your focus course/study plan


• At any point during your learning, if you
wish to change your focus course or study
plan, click on the edit(pen) icon next to it.

Self-Learning

Once you select a course, the self-learning tab is the first thing you see.
All sections are divided into lessons. You will see your progress bar fill as you watch the videos in each lesson.

Learning Environment – Live Virtual Classes
• Once you’ve accessed the course, click on the
“Live Classes” tab and register for the class that
is convenient for you. Each class has one or
more sessions and the schedule can be found
on the class tile.
Please note that you must register for the class
before it starts.
• The blue register button will change to an
option to join the class.
• You will also be able to download class recordings
from this screen after the class is complete.

Time zone will appear based


on what time zone you select during
the registration process.

Step 1:
Log into the course tile “Live Virtual Class – Signup and
Attend,” and click on the Live Classes Tab.

Downloads will be available approximately 3-5 hours


after the session has ended. Click on “Download
Recordings” to see the recordings available to you.

Step 2:
Click the downloads icon; this will launch a download
window that will open the recording.

Step 3:
A reminder for enabling browser pop-ups will appear on
your screen. The download will open in a new window and
appear at the bottom of the screen.

Reviewing Recorded Live Sessions

NBR players need to be downloaded to view the session


recordings.
This can be downloaded from the Live Classes screen.

Instructions

While launching a class and using Chrome, you may be


prompted to install the Cisco WebEx Extension.
Users who already have Cisco WebEx capability on
their device will not experience this workflow.
1. Click on “Add to Chrome”
2. A pop-up box titled - Add “Cisco Webex
Extension”? will pop-up
3. Click Add extension
4. You will receive confirmation that Cisco WebEx
Extension has been added to Chrome
5. The class WebEx will launch

If you choose to join the audio conference using a


phone over computer, you will need to call into the
meeting.

In the WebEx platform, do the following:


• Click Use Phone
• Enter your phone number
• You will receive a phone call
• Enter the attendee ID and Access code displayed
on the WebEx screen
• You’ll be connected to the audio through your
phone

If you choose to use your computer for audio, click "Call Using Computer."
You will have the opportunity to test your microphone and headset/speakers before connecting to the
conference.

After launching the live class and connecting to


audio, you will see the Cisco Webex Meeting.

Please note the following:
1. Your webcam will be disabled automatically
as the presenter will be sharing the screen
2. You are able to use the chat, indicated in
the screenshot shown here, to
communicate with the instructor and
teaching assistant.

Projects
Projects are vital part of your learning as they
help you apply your knowledge in the real world.
• Click on the “Assessments” Tab.
• Your project(s) will be listed here to review
instructions.
• Click on the “Submit” button when you’re ready to
submit your projects to our experts.
• A pop-up window will provide further information
on how to submit your project details.
• Your projects will be reviewed by Simplilearn
experts, and you will be notified via email about
the pass/fail status of your project with comments.

• Practice labs are the one of the core components
of Simplilearn’s courses/programs with which the
learners will get an hands-on experience to
develop the practical skills along with the
theoretical knowledge they acquire through Live
Classes/Online Self Learning content.
• The learners can access the labs anytime within
the course validity

Learning Tools – Help & Support
• Clicking the “Help & Support” icon will
open a new browser window and take you
to a slide that shows program-specific
FAQs and other helpful information.
• If you need assistance with anything
related to Simplilearn, you can access
“Help & Support” to find our contact details.

Notes
• This feature allows you to take notes and review these at a later time. Your notes will be time
stamped and stored (once
you select “Save”) under “My Notes” to make it easier for you to know which video details your
notes.
Exclusive Live Classes - ELVC
• ELVC (Exclusive Live Virtual Class) is an
exclusive offering to enterprise customers
on demand

• This is different from GLVC (Global Live


Virtual Classroom) offering where the
learners from both Enterprise and
Consumer business register for the same
classes and attend them from the LMS.

• ELVCs need be assigned to the


enterprises by the CSMs and the
enterprise admin needs to assign learners
to the required ELVC

• Download the Simplilearn App from your Apple or Google Play Store
• Download the WebEx App to join live classes from the Simplilearn App
• Before you login using the app, ensure you’ve completed the registration process by clicking the link
in the email as mentioned in the previous part of this guide.

left-hand corner will
take you to the app
menu.

You’ll notice six tabs listed under the video, along with the modules listed for the
course below that. Let’s break each tab down:

• SYLLABUS – This tab shows you all modules within the course and allows you to
navigate between different lessons. Note that this only represents one course.
If you want to see lessons in another course, click the small arrow in the upper
left-hand corner to navigate back to the learning path.
• LIVE CLASSES – This tab is only applicable in the course titled “Live Class Signup
and Attend.” All other courses have this tab but will not have anything available.
Remember, to launch a live class, you will also need to download the WebEx app.
• NOTES - This tab represents the notes you’ve taken in the course and allows you
to
take additional notes.
• CERTIFICATE – This displays current course certificate status.
• DOWNLOADS – This allows you to download relevant documents pertaining to
the course materials.
