INTRODUCTION
In extracurricular accomplishments, academic
performance extends to achievement outside the
classroom. One of the activities outside the
classroom is the sports.
INTRODUCTION
Many student cannot maintain the minimum grade
policy. But some of the athletes are really managing their
time to balance their sports and academic performance. In
response to this, the researchers conducted a study about
the Coping Mechanisms of Senior High School Student
Athletes in their Studies.

How does student athletes balance their study and
sports at the same time?
RESEARCH DESIGN
• Qualitative Research
SAMPLING PROCEDURE
• Purposive Sampling
RESPONDENTS
• 10 respondents for each grade level with a
total of 20 respondents
INSTRUMENTS USED:
• Voice Recorder
• Field Note
• Questionnaires
Data Analysis
The gathered data and information from the respondents
regarding the coping mechanisms of student athletes on
their studies were coded or indexed in an organized manner
through descriptive and narrative analysis. Interview and
questionnaire were summarized in a concise description and
the results were compiled and interpreted generally by the
researchers.
SUMMARY
Based on the data gathered, the selected student
athletes have different coping mechanisms in
balancing their study and sport.
CONCLUSION
The main objective of this is study to identify
and assess the coping mechanisms of senior high
school student athletes in their studies.
