CONDUCT OF CLASSES
• All will be done online via Google Meet.

• Please check MMLS for the Google Meet


code for your respective lectures(L1 or L2)
and tutorial groups (from L1 or L2).
ETHICS IN LECTURES AND
TUTORIALS
• Lecture:
Attendance are taking via scanning the QR code.
Any questions can be typed/done during/after the lecture in
the chat box and shall be responded after the lecture ends
(10-15 mins soon after the lecture ends).

• Tutorial:
No attendance is to be taken after 5 minutes of the
commencement of the class/tutorial.
Students must come prepared and tutorial questions are
uploaded one week earlier.
COMPLIANCE OF THE 80%
ATTENDANCE RULE

- Attendance for lectures and tutorials are


calculated based on both sessions.

- Commencement of the rule is from


Week 1 for Lectures and Week 2 for
Tutorials onwards,

- Ensure that you adhere and comply to the


rules to avoid any problems in the future.

• NO supplementary mid term examination,
• Any request for early nor later date for mid
term exam will not be entertained under
any circumstances,
• Mid term result consultation : to be
informed in MMLS upon the release of the
result in Camsys.
(2) ASSIGNMENT (20%)
• Title of assignment :
It will be released on WEEK 7 (date to be informed) in MMLS (refer
in assignment section/column in MMLS).

• Registration of group assignment :


• MUST register from within your respective and registered
tutorial section L1 / L2.
• The registration link will be opened in WEEK 6 (date to be
informed) . MARKS WILL BE DEDUCTED FOR LATE GROUP OR
INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION

• Number of group members :


Must consist of 5 persons/members only and strictly NO
INDIVIDUAL registration.

AND SUBMISSION.

10 pages, maximum: 12 pages (including
bibliography/references), Font: 12, Times

• Format of the writing would be APA.
CONSULTATION FOR
ASSIGNMENT CONTENT
• Students/Group leader(s) are encouraged
to discuss with the lecturer(s) on the
contents/points of the assignment
questions via google meet/email,
• Please ensure that you make prior
preparation/points and research before
you “meet” the lecturer(s) for discussion,
• You are encouraged to “meet” the
lecturer(s) during their consultation hours
or make prior appointment.
(3) PRESENTATION (20%)
• 2 modes of presentation assessment:

• 1) Group presentation (10%) :


• Must be a group of 5. Presentation will be analyzed based on
content and tutorial attendance.
• A written submission is also required to your respective lecturers at
least one day before the presentation.

• 2) Individual presentation (10%):


• Presentation will be analyzed based on oral performance during
presentation and Q & A.

• Questions to be released in Week 8 (date to be informed),


• All presentation (with date/time via google meet) will be
commencing from Week 10 –Week 14.

IMPORTANT NOTE

The Registration of Group for tutorial


presentation must be from the same Group for
assignment.
Hence, the registration must be from within the
same tutorial group only (for both group
presentation and assignment).
This is to avoid any confusion, to ease the
communication within your respective group
discussion and administrative wise.

OTHER MATTERS
• Absence from lectures/tutorials : Submission of scan
copy/snap photo of medical certificate/death
certificate/society/university reps./ valid and ‘reasonable’
letter of justification must be done at least 3 days after
the lecture/tutorials of the respective lecturer/tutor for
record.

• Attendance to tutorials :
You are strictly required to attend your own registered
and respective tutorials only.
No attendance will be taken for other tutorials.

• Note that all Notices and Announcements
for the subject will be notified and
announced in MMLS ONLY,

• Appointment(s) and correspondence must


be made via email/telephone with the
respective lecturer(s) for outside the
consultation hours.
DISCIPLINARY WARNING
Before a law graduate is admitted as an advocate and solicitor, the Bar Council
will request for a Confidential Report from the university on whether there is any
ground of objection against the admission as well as whether the graduate is of
good character.

The clarification from the Bar Council on what is not good character "includes,
but is not limited to, any act of a criminal nature which involves fraud or
dishonesty. ... including cheating during an examination or being found to have
committed an act of plagiarism."

Kindly be warned that you do not attempt to cheat in the exam or in any
assessment or be found to have committed any disciplinary offence. The
university has a legal obligation to convey this information to the Bar Council
before the admission of the candidate, and this may affect the candidate's
admission as an advocate and solicitor.
