What is Broadband?
DoT Definition:
“… an ‘always-on’ data connection that is able to support
interactive services including internet access and has the
capability of the minimum download speed of 256 (kbps) to
an individual subscriber from the (PoP) of the service
provider… (including) real-time voice transmission to the
extent that is presently permitted under the ISP license with
Internet Telephony”

{FCC Definition: connections with speed exceeding 200kbps in


at least one direction}
