 Defined as the art of procuring, developing and
maintaining competent workforce to achieve goals
of an organisation in an effective and efficient

 The human capital can be defined as "the embodiment of


productive capacity within people. It is the sum of people’s
skills, knowledge, attributes, motivations, and fortitude. It can
be given or rented to others, but only on a temporary basis; its
ownership is non-transferable.”

 Staffing - Process through which organization ensures it always

 Direct Financial Compensation - Pay that person
receives in form of wages, salaries, bonuses, and
commissions.
 Indirect Financial Compensation (Benefits) - All
financial rewards not included in direct
compensation such as paid vacations, sick leave,
holidays, and medical insurance.
 Nonfinancial Compensation - Satisfaction that
person receives from job itself or from psychological
and/or physical environment in which person works.
