PREGUNTAS WH

■ Se utiliza para preguntar por alguien y significa "quién" o "quienes". Normalmente al

principio de la pregunta y deben estar acompañadas de los auxiliares respectivos del
tiempo verbal. Se escriben con wh como
■ WHO
■ WHAT
■ WHERE
■ WHEN
■ WHY
EJEMPLOS CON WH

•Why do you think I did that?

•Who was that person you were talking to
•What are you talking about?
•Which was that book you recommended?
•When are you going to come for a visit?
•Where was that place we went last week?
PREGUNTAS CON DO Y DOES

■  Do se usa para las preguntas y las respuestas cortas que llevan los siguientes pronombres: I, you , we, you, they. En las
oraciones negativas y en respuestas cortas negativas, se usa este auxiliar en negativo, siempre para los pronombres que
mencioné más arriba. “Does” se utiliza para la tercera persona del singular (he, she, it) mientras que “do” se utiliza para las
demás personas.
EJEMPLOS CON DO Y DOES

•I do my homework in the afternoon.

•He does 20 push-ups
•You do a lot of hard work.
•Let’s do something fun.
•They do exercises to prepare for the test.
PREGUNTAS CON DID

■ Para contestar a preguntas que empiecen con did, utilizaremos did para

respuestas afirmativas y didn't para respuestas negativas. Es aquel
empleado en el tiempo verbal “pasado simple”, el cual se utiliza para
describir acciones que han sucedido anteriormente y que ya han
culminado o finalizado.

■ Did you study German last night?

■ Did he play the piano yesterday?
■ Did you call the carpenter this morning?
■ Did they paint their house yesterday?
■ Did she clean her bedroom this afternoon?
