Background of The Research
• The students have limited vocabulary
• The use of smartphones can support student activities in learning process

Identification of Problems
• Without mastering the vocabulary, students cannot express the ideas that
are in his mind
• The students lack vocabulary will make difficult to understand the
explanation of the researcher and make them become passive students in
the class
Research Questions

• 1. How is the improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery using Memrised


spaced repetition in SMA Santo Mikael Yogyakarta?
• 2. What is the students’ perception after using Memrise as learning media in
the classroom?

Conclusion

• Vocabulary mastery in SMA Santo Mikael increased after using Memrise


spacing. At IPS class, 10 students increased by 10,2, for IPA class students,
11 students increased their vocabulary mastery by 2,5.
• Students perception after using Memrise as learning media in the classroom
shows (1) the perception of respondent Memrise is a good level, (2) the
perception of respondent Memrise for class IPS is a good level, (3) the
perception of respondent Memrise for class IPA is a good level
