How to access to the configuration web interface

Add a new host to an existing hostgroup

To add a new hosts to an existing group, follow the steps below:

1. Identify a host that will be used as a template. It is recommended to use a hosts that belongs to the same hostgroup
where the new hosts requires to be added.

2. Go to Model>Host, then click on the host that will be used as a template

3. Go to Action and click con Copy

4. Assign the new hostname for the new host

5. Go to Model>Host, then click on the recently added host. Edit the hosts description and address.

6. Go to Action and click on Save.

7. Go to System and select Check Configuration

8. Correct any error, then go to System and select Reload Configuration

9. Access to Nagios web interface and check if the new host have been added at the correct hos group and the same
amount of services of the other hosts from the same hostgroup
Delete a host

To erase a host, follow the steps below:

1. Identify the host that should be erased

2. Go to Model>Host, then click on the host that will be erased

3. Go to Action and then click on Delete

4. Go to Model>host and check that the host is not on the list

5. Go to System and select Check Configuration

6. Correct any error, then go to System and select Reload Configuration

7. Access to Nagios web interface and check if the new host was deleted
Add hosts to a new Delivery Group
To add a new hosts to a new delivery group, follow the steps below:

1. Go to Model>Hostgroup and select a Delivery Group to use it as a template. Then, Go to Action, click con Copy and assign the name
for the new Hostgroup

2. Go to Model>Hostgroup then click on the recently added Hostgroup and edit the Alias. Then, Go to Action and click on Save.

3. Go to Model>host and select an existing delivery group host template. Then, Go to Action and click con Copy and Assign the new
name for the template.

4. Go to Model>Host, then click on the recently added template. Uncheck the Host_name option, edit the template name, and add the
recently created hostgroup starting with the + sign. Then, Go to Action and click on Save.

5. Go to Model>Host, click on a host to used it as a template. Then, Go to Action, click con Copy and assign the name for the new host.

6. Go to Model>Host, then click on the recently added host. Edit the hosts description and address. Then, Put the recently created
template name on the filed called “use” and finally Go to Action and click on Save.

7. Go to System, select Check Configuration, correct any error, and then, go to System and select Reload Configuration

8. Access to Nagios web interface and check if the new host was added and attached to the new Delivery group with a similar quantity
of services that other Session hosts have
Delete a Delivery Group
To delete a delivery group, follow the steps below:

1. Identify all the hosts that belong to the Delivery Group, as those hosts should be erased.

2. Go to Model>Host and click the host to be deleted, go to Action and select Delete. Repeat this step for all the hosts that should be
deleted.

3. Go to Model>Hostgroup and select the Delivery Group to be deleted. Then, go to Action and select Delete.

4. Go to Model>host and select the delivery group host template to be deleted. Then, go to Action and select Delete.

5. Go to System, select Check Configuration, correct any error, and then, go to System and select Reload Configuration

6. Access to Nagios web interface and check if the delivery group and its hosts was deleted.
