Abstract
The current work explores the influence of interface geometry on
wing-fuselage aerodynamics.
Described for different wing position and the results are presented.
Geometries of the test models are developed in Solid Edge.
Meshing and analysis is done in Ansys workbench, Ansys fluent.
CFD simulation model for different wing-fuselage combination
with transonic airfoil selected for better performance to reduce
component of drag at steady level flight conditions.
Problem definition
To improve the aerodynamic performance of high altitude sailplane
with different wing position.
Methodology
Modeling of sailplane based on available literature, discretisation,
implementation FVM to get force acting on sailplane.
Objective
Drag reduction, lift improvement.

Conclusion
High wing has low drag
Mid wing has more drag
High wing with twist has very low drag compared to
both
