Abstract
The current work explores the influence of interface geometry on
wing-fuselage aerodynamics.
Described for different wing position and the results are presented.
Geometries of the test models are developed in Solid Edge.
Meshing and analysis is done in Ansys workbench, Ansys fluent.
CFD simulation model for different wing-fuselage combination
with transonic airfoil selected for better performance to reduce
component of drag at steady level flight conditions.
Problem definition
To improve the aerodynamic performance of high altitude sailplane
with different wing position.
Methodology
Modeling of sailplane based on available literature, discretisation,
implementation FVM to get force acting on sailplane.
Objective
Drag reduction, lift improvement.

High wing has low drag
Mid wing has more drag
