1. Folksong- type of tradition that is mostly found in rural areas and
was passed down through many generations.
2. Harana - It is Philippine tradition of song used in courtship.
3. Kundiman - Conveys a selfless and intense love, longing and caring
not only with a romantic partner but also with a parent, child or country
SACRED MUSIC - are music intended for religious
rituals
Types of Filipino Sacred Music
• Pabasa
• known as a religious ritual chanting words from the Pasyon, a narrative
book that contains the life of Christ and being practiced every Holy week
• Salubong 
• it is a ritual that reenacts the meeting of Jesus Christ and His mother, Mary
after His resurrection. It is the culmination of the Easter Vigil that
happens between late afternoon of Black Saturday and early dawn of Easter
Sunday
