Establishing Libraries

Challenge

Intervention
• Problem Identification followed by several individual meetings and alignment workshop with DIET
officials was conducted.
• Joint Meeting with DIET officials, District administration and other education stake holders.
• Developing detailed plan of launching library campaign in ownership of DIET.
• Selection of Library campaign “District Prabhari” from DIET.
• Several meetings followed by follow-ups regarding library campaign and library module writing were
scheduled.
• Providing ownership to DIET for running Library campaign, building active library module and
conducting workshops around leveraging library to the best.

Outcome
• DIET conducted capacity building workshop for 228 librarians
• DIET launces module on effective library
• Task force of 40 librarians formed, district officials conducted joint visits
• 560 schools equipped with functional library
• 500 teachers trained for enabling functional libraries
B.Ed. Intern Orientation
Challenge
• Shortage of teachers in schools
• Large number of Internship candidates go to school without any orientation and plan

Intervention
Aligning the idea with district authorities to plan one day orientation of the interns
Planning and executing the orientation with interns across all blocks

Outcome

Orientation of interns conducted in Baran ,Shahbad, Kishanganj, Chipabarod , Chabra ,Ataru and
Chipabarod blocks
A total of 737 B.Ed./BSTC future educators interns attended the workshop.

Challenge

attendance & create awareness in community and establish them as a support system for Govt.

A Step towards large success

Transforming DIET –Role of Leading Institute -DIET, [Baran] Rajasthan

Challenge
DIET and its officers were not active part of education system. District administration and Education
stake holders consider DIET as inactive and unproductive department. District stake holders had a
mind-set that DIET officers do not perform duties assigned to them.

Intervention
• Problem Identification followed by several individual meetings and alignment workshop with DIET
officials was conducted.
• Joint Meeting with DIET officials, District administration and other education stake holders.
• Developing detailed plan of launching library campaign in ownership of DIET.

Outcome
DIET has overcome with its negative image and come up with active, Productive leading institute
image in the district. PEEO and Teachers started taking active participation in DIET workshops and
training programs and till now DIET has actively established 560 functional libraries in the schools
within the district and they are highly motivated and committed to actively established functional
libraries in 70% schools within the district by 26th January, 2019

Joint review  meeting DM :- Baran district have established weekly joint meeting process with DM and Department stake
holders.DM. This month 4 review meeting were conducted.
Key insights
 
 Community Radio and Discussion on deployment of funds for Community Radio. Key highlight of meeting was that Baran is going
to establish community radio in the district. Process of establishing community radio centres have been discussed in the
meeting.  15 lacs coasting of each centre is identified by administration out of which DM will deploy 7.5 lacs rupees from his fund
and rest will be deployed by CSR Partner (NTPC) for each centre.
 DM sir requested our team to conduct surprise visit in random schools and prepare report on NITI indicators status As Our team
has conducted visit in 30 schools and report submitted to DM
 Discussion on BALA initiative.DM sir suggested to develop guide line for BALA and to select 2-4 schools from demo schools to
initiate BALA .Our team submitted the list and guide line.DM sir is ready to deploy funds from source of panchayat and CSR for
BALA
 DM sir took initiative to write letter to Sectary education for deploying funds for library in elementary setup schools.
