Introduction
This is an IoT based weather monitoring system.In this
modern era we are all dependent with the weather data and
environmental changes. The main attributes have been chosen
based on the sensors used to build the system in order to create
an effective weather station project. The proposed sensors used
to measure and store Temperature, Humidity, and Wind speed
data, light and rain level .Using IOT techniques, we will see the
data to the particular website.
Project Detail
• In IOT enabled weather monitoring system project, Arduino
measures 4 weather parameters using respective 4 sensors.
These sensors are temperature sensor, humidity sensor, light
sensor and rain level sensor. These 4 sensors are directly
connected to Arduino since it has inbuilt Analog to digital
converter. Arduino calculates and displays these weather
parameters on LCD display. Then it sends these parameters to
Internet using IOT techniques. The process of sending data to the
internet using Wi-Fi is repeated after constant time intervals.
Then the user needs to visit a particular website to view this
data.
• The project connects and stores the data on a web server. Thus
user gets Live reporting of weather conditions. Internet
connectivity or Internet connection with Wi-Fi is compulsory in
this IOT weather monitoring project.
 Application
• This project will collect data for the weather
monitoring base station for any location.so, we can
take necessary steps against the alarming weather.

• IOT weather reporting system has application for the

farmers as well. The weather forecasting plays very
important role in the field of agriculture.
• IOT weather monitoring project proves really helpful for
monitoring weather at places like volcano, rain forests. It is
quite difficult for a human being to stay for longer time at
such places. Or even areas which are exposed to radioactive
leakage.
• Auto detection of weather without the human
attention.So,it will work in the absence of human.
Project Goals
 To limit the SMS based weather monitoring system,since it sends SMS to few
numbers. And time for sending SMS increases as the number of mobile numbers
increases.
 To categorize this project under Wireless communication projects using IoT, we
can upload these weather parameters data to the cloud using internet
connectivity over a WiFi module through wireless communication.
 For making easy usage two things are necessary to view this weather reporting
over the Internet. One is the Internet and another is a device to access a URL /
website. This device can be laptop or desktop or a tablet or even a smartphone.
 To monitor changes in a particular environment say volcano or a rain-forest for
scientists/nature analysts
 Advantage
• Easy to know the weather conditions which is constantly updated.

• Weather can be monitored by pc or laptop or mobile with using internet connection.

• Can see how much time the rain has fallen during a set period and also see the
temperature and humidity in any location.

• It is used as weather reporting system.

• Widely used in any industries or malls or any organization.

• Farming sectors can be used easily for their planting and maintenance.

• Easier to make decision.

• It does not require any human attention.

Conclusion
In the contrary, we are trying to make an advance solution
of monitoring weather condition and give some proper
output that can help us to know about the condition of
weather at any time or any where using IoT (Internet of
things) for getting the perfect result for connecting to the
entire world of things in a network.
