    from 0 to 100 using a variety of materials


    and methods.
    Hello kids! Today we will
    learn about visualizing,
    representing and
    counting numbers from 0
    to 100.
    But before that, we will
    have a review of what
    you have learned last
    year.
    What number is
    this?
    What number is
    this?
    How many apples
    are there?
    How many
    monkeys are there?
    Now that you have
    recognized what numbers
    are, let us dig deeper into our
    lesson.
    Can you name and
    count the objects?
    Correct!
    There are 14
    oranges.
    Now listen, if I grouped the
    oranges into 7, how many
    groups of oranges can we
    have?
    You’re right! We can
    have 2 groups of 7
    oranges.
    Which means we
    have 7 oranges in a
    group.
    Which means we
    have 7 oranges in a
    group.
    If we combine 7
    and 7 we will get
    14

    7 + 7 = 14 oranges
    Can you name and
    count the objects?
    Great job!
    There are 15
    crayons.
    If I grouped the crayons
    into 10, how many
    groups can we create?
    Very good! We can
    create 1 group of 10
    crayons!
    Now, how many
    tens are made?
    Awesome!
    1 tens = 10
    crayons
    Now, how many
    ones are left?
    Great job! There
    are 5 ones left.
    5 ones = 5 pieces of
    crayons
    Now let's combine
    10 and 5.
    10 + 5 = 15 crayons
    The process of determining
    numbers of sets of objects is
    called COUNTING!
    A NUMBER is an idea. Counting
    numbers 0,1,2,3, to 100 are
    called numerals.
    NUMERALS are symbols of
    numbers.
    Examples: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6, 7,8, 9,
    10.
    Let’s have more

    How many pigs
    are there in all?
    4 tens and 4
    ones = 44
    40 + 4 =
    44 pigs

    44 pigs
    How many
    cakes are there
    in all?

    10+10+10+10+10+10= ?
    If we add 6 tens
    we will get 60.

    10+10+10+10+10+10= 60
    If we add 6 tens
    we will get 60.

    60 pieces of cakes
