Company Profile
The Larsen family name has over 70 years of
experience owning and operating businesses in
the metal forming industry.

As a service driven manufacturing company our expertise

can take your design from concept thru
pre-production, hard tooling and mass production.
A Family History in Metal Stamping
 1946 – Leonard Larsen Senior joins Algonquin Tool
 1950 – Algonquin Tool enters the Electronics world by manufacturing TV
Tuners and Enclosures for companies such as Admiral Television
 1955 – Algonquin Tool becomes Electro-Metal Products Corporation to increase
their focus on the booming electronics industry
 1960 – Leonard Larsen Jr. joins EMP while TV Chassis’ and internal brackets
become complimentary to the company’s expertise in tuners and enclosures
 1970’s – As TV production slows, EMP diversifies into new markets to fuel the
company’s continued growth
 1980’s – Growth in Consumer Electronics renews EMP’s attention back to
customers electronics with customers like Texas Instruments, RCA &
Compaq
 1990’s – EMP’s range of expertise engages them with Government Lab’s.
New processes and the highest quality standards are implemented.
 1995 – EMP is sold, but the Larsen legacy won’t end here…
The New Larsen Manufacturing
A new beginning leads to year over year success
 1999 – Dave and Denis, the Grandson’s of Leonard Larsen Senior open the all new Larsen Manufacturing, in Mundelein,
IL. inspired to continue in the proud tradition of Innovation and Customer Satisfaction. With a few pieces of production
equipment, tooling equipment and a number of key employee's from Electro Metal Products the company achieves
$500,000 in first year revenues.

 2001 - Responding to the demand for quality metal stampings in the border region, Larsen re-engages in El Paso, Texas
by opening up a second facility under co-President, Denis Larsen. Denis is experienced in the region and had operated a
plant in El Paso as Electro Metal Products from 1995 to 1999. The company’s first facility was 30,000 sq ft. and
generated $3.3 million in sales in it’s first year of operation.

 2003 – Now established in El Paso, customers responded by challenging Larsen Mfg. with new business opportunities.
Expansion in their equipment and capabilities in both locations achieved continued revenue growth of $7.2 million in
sales inside of 4 years of operation.

 2005 – Larsen invested in their Mundelein tooling capabilities in preparation for continued growth. Both facilities acquired
additional production equipment to support revenues approaching $22 million

 2006 – Larsen-El Paso relocated to their 60,000 sq/ft facility located at 12150 Rojas Drive, in El Paso. Adding large ton
presses attracted business from major OEM’s in Consumer Electronics such as Scientific Atlanta, Philips, & Thomson.
Revenues again jump to exceed $24 million in sales.

 2007 – Investments into the El Paso site facilitates larger tooling capabilities, and expanding square footage in both
facilities accommodates VMI programs and boosts sales to $26 million in revenue.

 2009 – In the midst of difficult economic times, Larsen Manufacturing makes bold moves to invest in themselves by
launching the Metal Fabrication Division to compliment their long term success in metal stamping.

 2012 – Larsen Manufacturing moves into their new Headquarters building providing space and efficiencies to support
future growth expectations.

 2013 – Larsen launches the new Specialty Products Division and applies for TS16949 Certification.
