Oracle Configurator Accelerator
 Purpose
 Configurator Accelerator helps in automation of rules development and testing of ATO models.
It consists of two applications 1. Rules Accelerator and 2. Testing Accelerator
 Rules Accelerator is an excel macro that deciphers mapping between BOM & User Interface
options and automatically creates statement rules ready-to-plug into Configurator
Developer.
 Testing Accelerator automatically generates all possible configurations based on model’s
engineering chart and validates if Configurator model is setup correctly.


 Capabilities
 Rules Accelerator: Creates configuration statement rules automatically based on ATO
model engineering chart.
 Testing Accelerator: Generates all possible configurations from engineering chart and
provides a report if each of these configurations is valid.


¡When can this tool be used ?

– ATO Model Development: Rules Accelerator can be used to build option selection rules for
ATO model in Configurator. The tool automatically creates Configurator rules to pick product
options based on users selection. This eliminates manual process of building rules by
interactively assembling model’s elements.
– ATO Model Testing: Testing Accelerator can be used after Configurator model has been built
to validate if all acceptable product configurations are setup correctly. The reduces manual
testing of ATO model.

¡Which versions of Oracle is this tool compatible with ?
– This tool is compatible with Oracle versions 11i & R12.

¡What is the output of the tool ?
– Rules Accelerator creates statement rule for each of the BOM options which can grouped for
option classes and inserted into Oracle Configurator Developer.
– Testing Accelerator generates report in Oracle with product configurations and test order
results .

