nine centimenter per year. The movement of plate tectonics result in fast
and large energy buildup. As the Pacific plate tectonics budge down, it
bonds to the plate above it and drags it down as well. At that moment the
bond between the two breaks setting off the seafloor upwards by several
meteres.
The plate tectonics in the Pacific region are said to be exxtrememly
complicated. This is the reason that geologists are unsure about the tectonic
plate on which Japan is located. The plate tectonics theory is also used to
explain continental deformations......” .UNQUOTE.

Earthquakes : Tectonic Plate Movement
THAINDAN NEWS dated 12th March, 2012 :
QUOTE : “.... Washington, March 12 (IANS) The devastating earthquake that shook
Japan was caused by movement of massive tectonic plates that thrust one below
the other and forced the seabed and ocean upwards, triggering a giant tsunami.
“Plates aren’t constantly moving at a smooth rate… The stress builds up over time
— over years, decades and centuries, and then at some point it overcomes the
lock between two parts of the crust. When that happens, you have an earthquake,”
pbs.org quoted American geophysicist John Bellini as saying.
The geophysicist said that Japan was one of the most seismically active areas in
the world.
The country is located in the “Ring of Fire”, which is essentially an arc that

slammed the northeastern coast, washing away thousands of cars and homes.
About 1,000 people have died and a nuclear meltdown is feared at a nuclear power
plant.
Japan is either on or close to the boundary of four tectonic plates: the Pacific, North
American, Eurasian which are primary plates, and Philippines Sea plate, which is
one of the secondary plates.
The plates are on the move and when they hit each other, it builds pressure. Then
pressure releases, causing earthquakes and the rising seabed triggers tsunami, the
media report said.
The Japan earthquake is estimated to have generated energy that was roughly

SuperMoon Effect
MAIL ON LINE 11TH MARCH,2011 :
QUOTE : “.... The powerful tsunami that today slammed into Japan's eastern
coast comes just two days after warnings that the movement of the moon
could trigger unpredictable events on Earth.
Astrologers predicted that on March 19 - a week tomorrow - the so-called
'supermoon' will be closer to Earth than at any time since 1992, just 221,567
miles away, and that its gravitational pull will bring chaos to Earth.
Others on the Internet have predicted it will cause further catastrophes such
as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes.
Coming just three weeks after the quake which devastated Christchurch in
New Zealand killing hundreds, this latest disaster will only add fuel to their
fire......”. UNQUOTE.

Supermoon Effect on Earthquakes

ANSWER QUOTE : “... Dr. Ray Coish: The moon’s orbit is elliptical, so it’s not
unusual for the moon to come closer or go farther from the earth. But that
has nothing to do with an earthquake or tsunami. The lunar effects are just
so minute compared to the energy needed to move the earth that the moon
has no impact at all.
The earthquake is caused by the movement between two plates. Japan lies
above what we call a “subduction zone,” where an ocean plate is sinking
underneath a continental plate. This is happening around much of the
Pacific rim, where the ocean is getting smaller — of course, at a very slow
rate, over the course of millions of years.
The tsunami is caused by the sea floor moving. The tidal effect from the
moon won’t affect a tsunami either. There's no connection.......”. UNQUOTE.

Giant Whirpool off Japan’s Coast
“....QUOTE : QUESTION GlobalPost: Can you explain the
giant whirlpool off Japan’s coast?
ANSWER Coish: It’s hard to say for certain at this point, but
it’s probably related to the shape of the sea bottom where it
was found. Any wave can end up as a whirlpool. It’s a large-
scale eddy, similar to what you might see on a river or a
smaller bay.
In this case, the amount of water sloshing around is
tremendous, which is causing this giant eddy.....”.UNQUOTE.

Matthew 24 verse 1 to 8 :
QUOTE: “.... 1And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples
came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
2And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There
shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately,
saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming,
and of the end of the world?
4And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.
6And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all
these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
7For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall
be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8All these are the beginning of sorrows..........”. UNQUOTE.
