[ Majority of the employees (87%) have expressed that they
were satisfied with their work performance after attending
the training programme.

[ Majority (74%) of the employees expressed that they have


achieved their needs fully through training programmes.

[ Majority (85%) of the employees expressed that they had


ability to set realistic goals in their professionals and
personal life through effective training.
[ Only 48% of employees have responded that they were
not having full awareness about their work nature and
work condition in mines.

[ Most 66% of the employees responded that they were well


versed in terms of quality, productivity and safety
measures.
 

[ Further it is noticed that the content of the training


programmes not suit to different categories of employees.
The content must be decided so as to suit the needs of
different categories of the employees.

[ Further it is suggested that refreshment should be given at


frequent interval so as to re-in force the skills, attitude,
knowledge about the safety measures, etc., which will be
ultimately beneficial to the organization.
[ Based on the responses, training programme should be
extended in the following areas,

[ From the above findings the researcher concluded that the
employees in NLC Ltd., are satisfied about the training
programmes conducted to them which improves the
productivity, enhance performance further, the overall
effectiveness and efficient of the organization.

[ But still there is lot to improve to compete with large MNC¶s


especially in the field of mining and power generation. Spencer
and Kenneth stated that ³the best time I spend is the one I
invest in people´. So management should invest more on the
people to achieve desired results by conducting effective
training programme.
