Current Strategy
• Tracking of all Pregnant Women.
• Improve Coverage and Quality of Antenatal
Care (ANC)
– Early registration – using Preg color Kit and
Nischay test card supplied by GOI
– Total 4 check ups
– Strengthen skills of ANMs in improving quality of
ANC, especially for counseling.
Current Strategy (Contd..)
• Enhance Coverage of Facilities for Institutional
Deliveries and Emergency Obstetric Care (EmOC)
– PHCs & CHCs for basic EmOC.
– FRUs for comprehensive EmOC.

• Provide Skilled Care to Pregnant Women by


Skilled Birth Attendant (SBA) at community and
facility level.

• Improving Safe Abortion related Services

• Operationalize Comprehensive Emergency
Obstetric Services at First Referral Units .

• Ensure access to blood bank at all district


hospitals and blood storage facility at FRUs .

• Training of different Health personnel on :


CEmOC , BEmOC, LSAS ,BSU, SBA,
Comprehensive Abortion Care, MDR etc.

• Schemes for improving Ante Natal Care, Intra-
natal care & Post Natal care
– JSY
– Referral Transport
– Ayushmati Scheme
– Community Incentive Scheme
– GP based Mobile Camps
• Use of Partograph, Oxytocin, Magnesium
sulphate ,Preventive Anti-biotic
• Strengthen Post Partum Care at Community &
facility Level.
• Operationalise FBMDR and CBMDR.
