worksheet

Compare and merge the document

To compare the data with other document and merge the
content from other files.
There are four sub option

 You can use the security options in excel to protect the
integrity of your workbook as others review it.

 At times , you will want the information in a document to be

used , but not changed ;

 At other times , you might want only specific people in your

office to be able to view the document , you use the options on
the security tab in the options dialog box.

the command name changes to Unprotect
Workbook.

 The browser can't assign a password for this protection. To

assign a password and must first remove the workbook from
shared use.
 When the active shared workbook is protected, the command name
changes to Unprotect for Sharing.
 The goal seek option is used to Adjusts the value in a
specified cell until a formula that is dependent on that cell reaches a
target value. Goal seek finds the closest solution in can without
exceeding the target value.

1.Set cell: we identify the cell the target value.

3.By changing cell: To change the value it should be automatically

generate the target value.
GOAL SEEK
 The scenario manager allows us to create a single spread
sheet, which can display different set of information.

Example: There are few factories that should we taken into

consideration: manufacturing cost, increase in sales, selling
price,etc.
Excel makes it easy to find the source of errors in our formulas by
identifying the cells used in a given calculation and describing
any errors that have occurred.

The formula auditing command as the following option:

1.Trace precedents

This option is used to which are the with values used in the active
cells formula.

Identify a cells precedents by drawing a blue tracer arrow

from the precedent to the active cell.
2.Trace dependents

Trace dependents to have excel draw blue arrows from the

active cell to those cells that have calculations based on that value.

3.Remove all arrows

This option is used to delete the all arrows.

4.Evaluate formula

Evaluate the formula one step at a time.
