Ayur Tea
The company has developed a Herbal Tea which it feels is not injurious and habit forming as regular tea , especially when taken in excessive quantities. Moreover it is free from caffeine and has ingredients whose effect is soothing to the nerves. Some who consumes this feels very relaxed. The company wishes to have solid evidence of the merits of its tea and would like to conduct an experiment in the market. Prepare an experimental design to ascertain the superiority of the Herbal Tea over normal tea. Explain the experiment along with clear identification of the Test Units, Dependent and Independent variables, probable sources of Extraneous Variation on the dependant variable and methods of control. Present the Design.
TEST UNITS
Randomly selected Sample size of 50 people comprising of working people, house wife, teenager and senior citizens Age group from 25 to 65
Hypothesis
Ayur Herbal Tea is superior than Normal Tea
Variables
Independent Variables:Fenugreek (tea) Dependent Variables: Blood Pressure(MMHG) Controlled Variable: Tea consumption, Medicines consumption for control blood pressure Extraneous Variable: Diet Habits, Nature
Experiment
We had conducted C-R Design(Two Group Randomized Design) Out of the randomly selected sample of 20 volunteers were selected for the experiment . Avg Age group taken for experiment is 45 They were asked to give a Blood Pressure test.
High BP Experimental Group Maintain 5 Days 2 Tab + 1 Cup 10 Days 1.5 Tab + 2 Cup 120 To 130 15 Days 1 Tab + 3 Cup 5 Next 15 days only 3 Cup Control Group (With Medicines 2 tab For 30 Days) Maintain 120 To 130 5 155
Observations
Experimental Design

Variables
Independent Variables: Chamomile (tea) Dependent Variables: Refreshment(Work Stress) Controlled Variable: Tea consumption Extraneous Variable: Diet Habits, Nature
Experiment
We had conducted C-R Design(Two Group Randomized Design) Out of the randomly selected sample of 20 volunteers were selected for the experiment . Age group taken for experiment is 25,30,35,40 (Data Entry job) 3 Men 2 Women at same time They were asked to give a Stress test to see how may mistakes occurred because of stress

Experimental Design
Before After(30) Difference Control group 15[O4] 13[O3] 2[O4 - O3] Experimental group 15[O2] 9[O1] 6[O2 - O1] Reduction in Mistakes because of Ayur tea refreshment twice a day Change = (O2 -- O1) -- (O4 -- O3 ) = 6 2 = 4
Variables
Independent Variables: Basil (Lemon Basil) (tea) Dependent Variables: Acidity Complaints because of daily consumption normal tea Controlled Variable: Tea consumption Extraneous Variable: Diet Habits, Nature
Experiment
We had conducted C-R Design(Two Group Randomized Design) Out of the randomly selected sample of 20 volunteers were selected for the experiment . Age group taken for experiment is 25,30,35,40 (having habit of consume 4-5 cups of tea daily) All Men

Experimental Design
Before After(30) Control group 9[O4] 4[O3] Experimental group 9[O2] 7[O1] Reduction in Complaints because of Ayur tea Change = (O2 -- O1) -- (O4 -- O3 ) = 5 2 = 3 Difference 5[O4 - O3] 2[O2 - O1]
Results
Results showed that herbal tea contained Fenugreek, chamomile, Basil. It works on controlling BP, Relaxing nervous system, Improving digestive system. Regular consumption help maintain alertness, accuracy and soften the more acute negative effects of higher doses of caffeine viz normal tea.
