INTRODUCTION TO DEVELOPED APPLICATION

PURPOSE OF OLNP
The project Online National Polling(OLNP) is designed to provide a normal voter or citizen with a secure interface to interact with their candidates, inquire about the parties through forums, caste vote, view results in such a convenient way that is accessible from anywhere at any time. The idea of the project is to summarize all the efforts that were taken as an individual effort in order to make a system capable enough to replace all the manual procedures that undergone to carry an election process from beginning to the end and display of the result. OLNP is not only intended for voting but also provides information regarding the rights and policies for an individual as cited in the constitution on INDIA.

ADVANTAGES OF ONLINE POLLING

The project is an e-application for voter and candidate that help the voter to caste their vote according to candidates skills and qualifications. It helps voter to find suitable candidate for their nation. This website also provides general awareness among the society so that they are aware of current political conditions. This application is helpful for normal citizen. People who are not able to find the candidate according to their skills and qualifications, so it can be useful in eradicating unemployment in our country.

SPECIAL FEATURES
Image based authentication while registration ( Captcha) increases the security of application. The application is SQL Injection proof. Progress Reports of students are generated in a graphical format using JFREE API. Their will be synchronous communication among students, faculties and management through embedded Discussion Application. Field Officer can interact through embedded E-mail Application. Use of XML INDIA.XML and OFFICERS.XML are the configuration files Use of MD5 to store passwords in database to enhance security

SCOPE
Create different voters, candidates, election commissioner

officers and assign corresponding privileges. Maintain a centralized database to provide security to information which can be accessed only by the admin. Election Commissioner Officers and Field Officers log on to their account to approve/decline/reject the forms which are send by voters/candidates to get registration. Supervision of lower designation officers by higher designation officers This customizable feature allows admin user to create required amount of employees. Voters can view details of candidates in their constituency. SCOPE OF EXTENSION
Use of WAP enabled devices where service can be made accessible through GPRS by the registered users who can share and access the information "on the move. Voting can be carried out on a more secure gateway. Use of HTTPS to ensure security and privacy of the sensitive information. Better Interaction between the users via Voice Mail Box. Provision of chat with the candidate standing for election. Use of biometrics.
