 Every Phonetic session will have one control server and n number of Phonetic server as shown in architecture. The control server once in a day performs the following tasks
Load the input data and the feedback data from the database Collect the logs from each of the Phonetic servers. Update the CTRs using both feedback and log data. Create a new set which will be used by the Phonetic servers for generating the results.

Phonetic Engine

Each of the Phonetic server performs the following

Load the latest input data and the feedback data from the control server Load the metadata Perform Phonetic suggestion based on the configurations on the metadata.

 Using the metadata one can configure the following

How many results must be returned from the DYM servers

Phonetic Engine

Decision logic the Phonetic uses the following for making decisions on
search relevance
CTR
No of time the suggestion was used/ No of time the suggestion was given

Documents count
How many documents are available for the suggestion

Qualifier
Ratio of number of words matched to the number of words in the source string

Percentage

The relevance happens using the following rules

If CTR found, the top records will be ordered based on the CTR and the document count threshold If Qualifier only is available, the top records will be ordered by qualifier If percentage and Qualifier are available, the top records will be a weighted average of Qualifier & Percentage
