Medical Tourism Association (Medical Travel Association)

It is the first membership based international non-profit trade association for the medical tourism and global healthcare industry. It is made up of the top international hospitals, healthcare providers, medical travel facilitators, insurance companies, and other affiliated companies and members with the common goal of promoting the highest level of quality of healthcare to patients in a global environment.

 The Medical Tourism Association has three tenets: Transparency in Quality and Pricing, Communication and Education.

Indian Medical Tourism Association

IMTA is a no profit organisation and operates with the guidance received from its ADVISORY BOARD

 IMTA Advisory Board members comprise of industry leaders from Hospitals, Healthcare (both Modern Medicine and Traditional Indian Medicine), Healthcare Quality Organisations, Academia, IT, Travel and Tourism Industry and Overseas Corporate, Insurance and Facilitation services providers.

Maharashtra Medical Tourism Council

The Maharashtra government is in collaboration with FICCI (Western Region Council) has launched the Medical Tourism Council of Maharashtra (MTCM). This council operates as a nodal agency and is responsible for smooth operations in the medical-tourism sector besides promoting Maharashtra's health-care facilities and tourism attractions in India and abroad.

"This venture has to be a combined effort from various service providers. Providing accommodation across categories for those visiting India for treatments with their relatives and friends would be essential."

A website is dedicated for this project called www.mahamedtour.com which was activated at the inauguration function. MaharashtraMedically Yours is the slogan coined for the promotion of MTCM.
