Virtual communication is one of the problems face by online learners. They will find it hard to get help from their professors with getting to see them in person. Here are some tips on how to build good online relationship with your professors.

Textbook Guts
As students we often read the content of the textbook. We never get the time to examine the textbook it self . To save all your time and worries, look at your textbook. Make sure you know your textbook guts. You will know what to aspect before reading them. Textbook are divided into two parts. There is the beginning of the textbook and there is the end of the textbook.

The beginning of the text book 1) Table of content Table of content is a list of chapters in a book. Reading the title of each chapter could give you an overview of the content of the book. You will have a general idea of what you will read.

2) Using Your Textbook This section of the textbook is a general guide on how to use the textbook effectively. Not all textbooks have this section. Reading this section will help you to find important information s from the textbook.

In each chapter of a textbook, you will come across: 1) Objectives- you will want to read these objectives because they would probably something that will be asked in your upcoming test.

2) Vocabulary words- vocabulary words will explains to you meaning of words that you come across while reading the chapter. They are important as they may be asked in the test. If you are still not sure on the meaning, refer the glossary or even the dictionary.

3) Study questions- Study questions are questions that most probably be asked in the test. Write the study questions before you read a certain chapter. Then while you read, try to find the answers. You will understand the chapter better by answering these questions. Study questions may be found in the beginning of the chapter or at the end of the chapter.

4) Chapter review- This section can be found at the end of each chapter. But bear in mind, not all textbook will have this section. The chapter review is a short review about the chapter. After reading the chapter, these section will help you to revise on what you have read ,give further information or recommend any other activities to develop your study skills.

Speed reading
Speed reading can save you a lot of time. If you master all these speed reading tips, you will be able to score high marks for your studies. 1) Preview Look at the heading of your textbook. By reading the heading, you will get a general picture of you are going to read and the structure of work you are about to face. 2) Adjust your speed There are different pace for different section. If there are important information on any chapter, slow down and make sure you really understand them. But if you come across the section where you find less important, try to skip them or speed up.
