To develop an easy-to-operate design system, where consumers can interact with design choices and customise the design instead of operating conventional CAD To make ALM more reliable and easier to operate by consumers To combine easy manufacturing (ALM) with easy design (Design Template)

Design tool would be built with the following criteria:

Design Template uses simple html format that contains:
Data base features 3D modelling created by SolidWorks publisher
So, consumers are able to review the final design without the need for costly CAD software.
Research Conclusion
Design Template:
will enable the widespread utilisation of ALM could be employed by consumers as the software that is compatible with the ALM hardware could also be used by Small Medium Enterprises (SMEs) who produce specific products and repeat their designs for a wide range of variants
Future Work
The interface between Design Template, customisation features (uploading photo/logo, texting) and pre-manufacturing process still needs to be developed in the future Regarding to Open Source Software and the internet social networking trends, it would be appropriate to create a Portal for ALM Design Templates to accommodate the design templates of other specific products
