El edificio es del ms puro estilo francs. Fue inaugurado el 14 de julio de 1914 con la presentacin de la pera Ada de Verdi. En 1997 fue declarado Monumento Histrico Nacional. Tiene capacidad para 644 personas y pertenece a la municipalidad desde el 22 de diciembre de 1994. Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre / Henning Larsen Architects

Architects: Henning Larsen Architects Locations: Reykjavik, Iceland Client: Austurnhofn TR East Harbour Project Ltd. Project Year: 2011 Project Area: 28,000 sqm Situated on the border between land and sea, the Centre stands out as a large, radiant sculpture reflecting both sky and harbour space as well as the vibrant life of the city. The spectacular facades have been designed in close collaboration between Henning Larsen Architects, the Danish-Icelandic artist Olafur Eliasson and the engineering companies Rambll and ArtEngineering GmbH from Germany. The Concert Hall and Conference Centre of 28,000 m2 is situated in a solitary spot with a clear view of the enormous sea and the mountains surrounding Reykjavik. The Centre features an arrival- and foyer area in the front of the building, four halls in the middle and a backstage area with offices, administration, rehearsal hall and changing room in the back of the building. The three large halls are placed next to each other with public access on the south side and backstage access from the north. The fourth floor is a multifunctional hall with room for more intimate shows and banquets.

PEX Toulouse / OMA -Sistemas para cubrir grandes Luces -Flexibilidad de exposiciones, expresiones culturales, etc.

Providing the winning design for the Parc des Expositions (PEX) in the innovation zone of Toulouse, in southern France, OMA conceived PEX to be a new gateway to the city hosting exhibitions, conferences, and concerts. The 338,000 sqm project is designed to be a compact mini-city an antidote to the sprawl of a standard exposition park, and a means to preserve the surrounding French countryside. Surpassing three submissions by internationally-renowned competitors, the project, led by OMA s director of French projects Clment Blanchet, will be completed by 2016. Blanchet commented: This project is not only about architecture, but rather infrastructure. It s a condenser for diversity, a machine that can promote an infinite amount of possibilities. Costillas radial cada 5m en la diagonal del radiales terreno, Intersecadas por 4 caminos de circulacin. A ambos lados de estos pasillos Se ubicarian los volumenes programticos. Marcos Metlicos Doble T

Estos marcos cumplen la funcin de darle continuidad a la transmisin de las cargas, stas y los momentos se transmiten de una pieza a otra; y se deben usar arriostramientos para que el trabajo de todos los marcos acte como uno solo elemento. Las deformaciones de los marcos se pueden evitar, con la colocacin de pernos de anclajes que fijen el marco al macizo. El espesor de los perfiles de este tipo de marco, vara de acuerdo al tipo de roca, tamao, mtodo de excavacin y la cantidad de soporte que est provista la abertura.

VENTAJAS DE LOS MARCOS DE PERFILES DE ACERO: Tiene una resistencia mayor a todos los esfuerzos, tanto transversal como longitudinal. Muchos de estos marcos pueden ser reutilizados, siempre cuando no tengan grandes deformaciones. Se fabrican de acuerdo a pedidos del cliente segn plano o especificaciones tcnicas.

SISTEMAS ESTRUCTURALES RETICULADOS METALICOS

Se parte de una nave industrial existente, formada por estructura metlica. Los pilares de la nave industrial se encuentran separados entre s en luces de 13 m y 21 m. Tambin estn las oficinas formadas por una estructura independiente del almacn con luces entre pilares de 10.5 y 15 metros. La solucin adoptada es utilizar vigas boyd de 21 metros y cerchas apoyadas en las vigas boyd de luces de entre 13 y 21 metros. Debido a la prescripcin que se tiene de no poder superar los 1.50 m de altura sobre la cubierta existente se ha tenido que disminuir el canto de las cerchas a un canto de cercha final de 0.70 m.
