A multi-flex, multimulti dimensional run oriented system, appearing on the surface to be finesse . With multiple shifts and alignments, this system is devised to exploit the tendencies of the opposition while limiting their aggression as it relates to playing attack football. The premise of this system is to utilize a team s philosophical approach against them, exploiting misalignments and spacing disadvantages, which directly attributes to tentativeness on the part of an opponent.

System Philosophy:

I am very detail oriented, and I bring a different more psychological approach to the game, as well as a fundamental aspect I feel has been missing from Dade County high school ball since the days of dominance by Coach Don Soldinger (Southridge) & Coach Walt Frazier (Carol City). I personally feel that football in Miami-Dade is circulatory in the way that a lot Miamiof things are recycled. In contrast I bring an element of relative ingenuity, a rapport with the players, as well as a fresh, hands on approach Not one to be misconstrued with having a false sense and ideology of being overly creative, but one that is truly grounded in the fundamental tenets of football. Implemented here are tried and tested concepts that will always hold true the integrity of the game. Much time and effort has gone into developing this system, with an element of what successfully worked for me in college as well as elements of an extraordinary system incorporated for three years at Miami Jackson Sr. High. (2003-2005) This system also has characteristics of an (2003extremely intricate system implemented at Miami Jackson Sr. High (2009) under former NFL Pro and University of West Virginia alumni Antonio (Dayla) Brown.

Personal:

The Multi-flex Option Multi-

IT ALL STARTS WITH A SCHEME

Far too often teams fail because they don t truly have a scheme A true identity of who they are, what they do, and more importantly, how they do it. Everyone has X s & O s that could be successful, and there s no one single successful type of system, because all have at some point won championships.

What true, consistently dominating teams have at every level however is a scheme. An Identity they bring into to every game that they are precise and detailed with, that the players own, and teams just can t stop.

THE SCHEME
We are a Zone Offense. Whether in our passing game or running game, we incorporate a Zone strategy. This scheme almost always allows for a double team of the interior D linemen since they are the biggest threats to the immediacy of a QB s drop back, as well as the biggest disrupters of the run game. 500 lbs. should never be defeated by 300 lbs. during trench warfare.

We incorporate plays by series, with a complementing scheme to each play.

For every play in the offense we complement that play with either two or three other plays that initially look the same

{Base Play

Action Play Misdirection Play}

FLEXIBILITY
This scheme has built in flexibility to where we don t have to deviate from what we do based on what defenses do. At the same time, we have built in, self correcting rules at each position that are KEY oriented and foolproof. This scheme allows for the players to take ownership of their system, which gives them the confidence needed to be successful.

MultiMulti-Flex Triple Option System

This system was devised by Jeamillio Lewis He has coached 8 of the past 9 years on the Varsity level He was in part responsible for implementing the Zone blocking scheme at Miami Jackson Sr. High during the 09 season Run scheme similar to the one incorporated at Nebraska under Tom Osborne during their 94, 95 & 97 Championship seasons Before departing Miami Southridge in 2010 he orchestrated one of the top offenses in Miami-Dade (#5) MiamiDuring the 2010 season under his guidance Southridge had 6 games where the offense gained over 400 yards System gained a total of 820 rushing yards in two (2) games during 2010 season (396 & 424) {No other school Dade / Broward} 3 separate games during 2010 season QB passed for more than 250 yards. (Action Pass scheme complements the Run scheme) In 2010 Offense rushed for over 900 yards in a three game span

Advantages Of The Scheme

Allows You To Quickly Attack & Secure The Perimeter Forces The Defense To Play Assignment Football Allows Your Best Athletes To Get The Ball In Space Allows You To Exploit Eight Man Fronts Allows You To Consistently Make Big Plays via Run & Pass Systematic Approach Allows You To Audible At LOS Forces Your Opponent To Prepare For Something They Don t See Every Week An Opponent Can t Emulate the details of this Option Scheme Allows You To Succeed Without A Great Passer Neutralizes A Defenses Blitz Tendencies

PHILOSOPHY
My general philosophy from an offensive perspective is to run the football. I sort of subscribe to the old adage that three things can happen when you pass the ball, and two of them are bad , only I say that FOUR things can happen when you pass the ball, and THREE of them are bad . Those are statistics I don t too much care to debate. While passing the ball can seem more exciting and flashy at a glance, to me however, there s nothing more effective and efficient - and empowering than being able to run the ball at will, imposing your will on a defense while in the process breaking their morale.

Most coaches who are of the pound the ball variety believe in the three yards and a cloud of dust concept, where they just work their way up the field three yards at a time. I don t subscribe to that concept either. I believe that big gains can consistently be made in the running game if indeed the right schematics are in place. I actually believe this method of gaining yards to be even more explosive, and empowering as far as establishing tempo, attitude and a mindset goes, than passing the ball, being simply that the quickest point from A to B is a straight line.

However, I do believe in passing the ball, and with regularity, but I believe we should be able to pick our spots, and attack defenses at their most vulnerable spots which are established by us forcing mismatches. I believe it is necessary to throw the ball if we are to truly be an explosive unit, able to keep a defense on its heels.

Our diversity comes from our alignments. I believe in throwing many sets and formations at a defense forcing them to use all of their time, knowledge, and discipline when it comes to defending us, consequently forcing their coaches to show their worth or be exposed.

I believe in heavy shifting and motioning to break down the solidarity and internal structure of a defense, getting them away from their comfort zones, and causing them to process what we re doing rather than anticipate what they want to do. This forces them to be stagnant, tentative and timid while readjusting on the fly, consequently forcing them to be either disciplined in their assignments as a unit or be simply blown out.

My entire approach to offensive football serves dual purposes. 1) To put my unit in the best possible position to dominate an opponent.

&
2) To cause disarray amongst a team by exposing coaching deficiencies attributing to second guessing on the part of the staff and the players which directly -or indirectly- leads to indirectlyinternal breakdown. I BELIEVE IN FOUR HARD QUARTERS OF FOOTBALL
Execution Is Top Priority: Priority:

DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY ALL THE TIME!!!

Holes & Back Numeric System

9 X 1 3 2 7 5 3 1 0 2 4 6 Y Z 8

We number our play with the number of the ball carrier, followed by the aiming point. For example, 32 Belly tells the 3 Back his aiming point is the cylinder of the 2 Guard.

1) 6.8 Yards Per Run 2) 8.8 Yards Per Pass 3) 5 T.D s Per Game 4) 2 60+ Yard Drives Per Game 5) 60% Pass Completion Per Game 6) No more than 1 sack Per Game

7) 8) 9)

No more than 1 turnover Per Game No more than 20 penalty yards Per Game
yds. 3 Big Plays Per Game (35 yds.)

10) 2 Explosive Plays Per Game (45 yds.) yds.

yds. 11) 1 Game Breaking Play Per Game (55 yds.)

12) 1.5 Knock Downs Per Play (Plays + Half = 1.5)

We will be a precision and detail oriented Offense, with the utmost focus placed on discipline and technique. There will be a certain criteria set forth that stresses accountability and encourages a sustained work ethic. Our standard approach to establishing an identity of dominance will be based entirely off the principle concept of what I call the 3 key Criteria to Success (1)Playing (1)Playing Fast (2) Playing Hard (3) Playing Physical Everything we do as an offensive unit will be constructively devised and implemented with one aim, and that aim is to create a poised and knowledgeable, dominant and confident unit. Every aspect of what we do will be done with one purpose of mind, and that purpose is to build a competent, competitive & cohesive unit, fully capable of dominating on a consistent basis. We ll be systematically grounded in the fundamental tenets of football.

OFFENSIVE ACCOUNTABILITY

QUARTER BACKS:

During any non-team drill, (Skeleton/ Installation etc.) It is our nonexpectation that we complete 75% of our passes. (STRIVE FOR PERFECTION)

During any game, (scrimmage) it is our expectation to never be charged with a delay of game penalty. ( QB S FAULT )

During any game, (scrimmage) it is the QB s responsibility to ensure that each member of the Offensive unit leaves the huddle with the proper play call. (Formation, Play & Snap Count)

During any game, (scrimmage) it is our expectation that the QB makes only good decisions with the football. Always attain the SS prepre-snap read. Never force throws inside the Red Zone Always be aware of down and distance. & Never take a sack on 3rd or 4th down.

It is our expectation that the QB set a good example for the rest of his team-mates through his passion displayed on the field, by teamhis work ethic in practice, by his awareness of situations, by his attention to detail, by his poise and confidence at all times & by his command and his total demand for perfection.

RUNNING BACKS:

It is our expectation that the RB s secure the ball at all times and not turn the ball over.

It is our expectation that the RB s be just as passionate about blocking as they are about running.

In this system the RB s must NEVER take negative yards. (Attack the LOS) And fight to keep shoulder pads forward when tackled.

Never run out of bounds. We Initiate & Dictate. (Strike the defender)

RB s must live by this Credo: First man doesn t make the tackle, One man doesn t make the tackle, & DB s don t exist!!!

RECEIVERS:

WR s MUST Be just as passionate about blocking as they are about catching. (Block or Bench)

It is our expectation that the receivers display the attitude that once the ball is in the air it is theirs. (Attack The Football)

WR s Must understand that they are the Play Makers. (DEMAND GREATNESS) They need to take on the mindset that if they don t make plays they don t deserve to play.

WR s Must take pride in running after the catch. They must realize that the catch is the BEGINNING of a play, NOT the END!!!

WR s Must take pride in understanding defenses, and patterns and how patterns affect defenses. (KNOW HOW TO IDENTIFY COVERAGES!!!)

OFFENSIVE LINE:

BE SMART Work for no mental mistakes in assignment and technique. You must be accountable for knowing what you are to do and how to do it.

BE TOUGH Play Hard, Play Fast, & Play Physical!!! Give your coaches and team-mates great effort on every play, every day. team-

BE CONSISTENT Demand greatness of yourself. Work to dominate your man each and every play. Exert 6 seconds of all out warfare every single play. Knowing that you ve done that is knowing that you ve done half your job.

HAVE PRIDE Be passionate about the game. Don t let fatigue stop you from being attentive to detail. Develop a passion for doing things the right way ALL THE TIME.
(Take care of the small things and the big things will take care of itself) itself)

COMMUNICATE YOU MUST TALK!!! We Must Work As A Unit. Our performance is based on how we work as a group, so we need to be on the same page every play. It all starts with you Understand that as the O Line goes, so goes the team.

THREE DAY INITIATIVE

The Start of a New Season It is my personal opinion through experience and observationobservation- that far too often, teams fail during the season due primarily to measures taken prior to the season. Particularly speaking of those three days of practice where the team is in helmets and shorts. What is essentially a crucial phase of practice, where so much can get done as far as establishing a mindset for a team and building its foundation, more often than not coaches don t fully take advantage of this critical period of the season. Too often the purpose of this format is neglected. One must ask himself, how can I best utilize and maximize the three days ( 6 practices ) of helmets and shorts . The answer to that question is a very important one, and for no simpler reason than the fact that once the season is upon you, there are certain things that you can t get back.

Some coaches are over zealous, and can t wait to get at it. While this isn t necessarily a bad thing, it is however imperative that as coaches we realize, and keep in mind that these are our boys, and we can t be a detriment to their development. It is our duty to prepare them, and instill in them all what s necessary to their being successful.

While I don t believe in dictator type coaching by way of ruling with an iron fist, I do however believe that during this most critical phase of implementation the coaches MUST dictate and be sterner than ever, simply because this is the developmental and learning stage, and it is vital that all the players retain what is being implemented, and understand what it is we re trying to get done.

D.I.C.T.A.T.E
Is an acronym I came up with to help maintain a structured and prioritized implementation process to best utilize, maximize, and emphasize what is essential to our team s development. {WE MUST DELIBERATELY COVER EVERY COMPONENT OF THE SYSTEM THAT WE POSSIBLY CAN, THAT DOES NOT REQUIRE US USING FOOTBALL GEAR}

This is how we make the most of such a critical period, that upon conclusion enables us to hit the ground running during our 4TH day (First day of full contact.)

D.I.C.T.A.T.E
Each area can be covered thoroughly and with great efficiency. We don t have any wasted periods, and we re able to take care of key facets of development that are seldom revisited during the course of a season.

D
DEVELOP
We develop the players during this three day period through polished, rigorous, structured stations that relentlessly stresses technique. We also place major emphasis on individual periods of practice. Each coach must leave his mark on his players, and create in them what he wants them to be.

I
IDENTIFY
During this phase we constantly identify the qualities, traits, habits, gifts, attitudes, and misgivings of each guy. You see this through Stations (The natural athleticism of each athlete) Conditioning (How much fight each individual has in him) One on One s (The playmaking ability of each player)

C
CONDITION
This period enables us to make the most of early conditioning so once we are finally in full gear we are able to go full throttle, without having to worry so much about effort and tempo. Ideally we aim to get in endurance running so that the players have good lung capacity. (100 s, NOT Gassers) Gassers pertain more to having sustained effort throughout the course of a play than it does to being conditioned to the point of practicing with good tempo.

T
TEACH
Because we aren t in gear we re able to spend more time in Group & Team sessions teaching sets, formations, and the system, while also lending concepts and conveying through detail and precision what we re trying to do.

A
ASSEMBLE
Through observation and seeing cohesion develop between certain players, along with what s been observed as far as standout players, we are able to assemble groups heading into the fourth day of practice.
{OF COURSE ONCE GEAR IS ON THINGS TEND TO CHANGE QUITE RAPIDLY}

This also allows us to hit the ground running once the gear is on without losing crucial time.

T
TEST
During every phase within the period we are able to see the players in action, minus the gear, and test them on their knowledge and grasp of the system. We are able to routinely test them in pressure situations and in one on one match ups against their teammates.

E
EVALUATE
Upon completion of the first three days of practice we will have been able to evaluate everything up to that point. We will have a gauge of which players are able to do what, and generally have a good feel for what we re working with. This allows us to suit up, and scrimmage right out the gates.

Upon completion of the first three days of practice

we will have done, learned the system, identified key players, conditioned ourselves for the initial stages of practice, gotten a feel for certain units working together, developed certain skills within the players, stressed certain fundamental and technical aspects of assignments, and established a mindset. Ultimately we would have done communicated our concepts, our philosophies and our objectives of what we re trying to accomplish as a team All of this before we ve even gotten into gear.

Its Not About How Much You Know As A Coach, Its About How Much Your Players Understand

INSTALLATION
The top priority in installing any system is making sure the players fully understand and retain what s being taught There are 1 of 3 ways that we learn, each being through our senses. So in order to assure ourselves that what we re teaching is being processed we must touch on all bases

LEARNING STYLES
AUDIBLE Learning through simply being told what to do VISUAL Learning through simply seeing diagrams drawn up TACTICAL Learning through simply walking through assignment
Each of us process information through each style but ONE style is more dominant than the others

I hear & I forget I see & I remember I do & I understand

Confucius

RETAINING INFORMATION
The most important thing to remember with LEARNING and FORGETTING is to understand that BOTH processes are activity dependent. The more something is repeated, the better the "learned" response. Similarly, once learned, the less it is used, the greater the forgetting.
Use It or You Lose It

REPETITIONS
Repetitions are the building blocks to learning and retaining. Everything from learning your time tables, to typing to playing the piano are repetition based. So in all we do we must maximize repetition in a deliberate methodical way

If we truly are to be a consistently dominant team Year in and year out, week in and week out, day in and day out, each play all day, one play at a time, there has got to be an established way of routinely evaluating the players and giving feedback. That evaluation process must be coupled with a film review process where players can consistently see their performance while being critiqued, commended and corrected. This is the single most important component to developing a player and having him reach his full potential. Without this, no growth is gained.

IMPLEMENTATION
Based On The Three Day Initiative

We will install our entire system incrementally. We will have a systematic approach to how we add new Items to our grand scheme. This method allows for the kids to better grasp our total concept while also maximizing Rep volume.
This period directly correlates to those practice sessions preceding full contact practice. In essence the whole offense will be installed before we re in gear

I will place the team above myself and have unwavering loyalty to that person lined up next to me, trusting without doubt that they are also giving their all for the betterment of our team.

I will be more demanding of myself than any coach could ever be of me, In-turn I expect that my coaches Intake note of my effort, and display the same trust in me that I have in them.

My Elite Camp:
This camp is designed at its core to develop, enhance, and empower individuals in attaining their ultimate goals of becoming greater athletes, as well as more knowledgeable football players. It has been our long standing belief that there are no better attributes to becoming a great athlete than one being both, physically and mentally capable -able to exert maximum effort over an extended amount of time, while also able to apply a certain knowledge at a given time- knowing how and why to timeexecute an assignment, with confidence and competence.

PassionPassion- The first step in the journey towards greatness in anything is an unwavering, deep rooted love for that thing. Within this love lives desire A burning desire to be great at what one does. DedicationDedication- Everybody has passion for something. However, that passion alone is not enough. The difference in whether one succeeds or not then becomes the commitment level to which one puts forth. Passion in itself simply won t do. One must also have unyielding dedication to a task, and to see it through to its fulfillment, doing whatever is required to get it done. SacrificeSacrifice- Nothing great is ever accomplished without sacrifice. This sacrifice varies between different people, but we all have certain habits that are detrimental to us fully accomplishing our goals. In the most simple of terms, We must quit doing certain things that are counterproductive to us being successful .

DriveDrive- Drive is simply about, how bad do you want it? We all encounter obstacles or hardships in our efforts towards accomplishment, but drive is not allowing such barriers to prevent us from staying the course in pursuit of the greatness we seek, in spite of the things that attempt to deter us. FocusFocus- In order to become great at something, one must totally immerse him/herself in that something. The only way one could do that is by focusing all of his/her attention completely on a given task. Diverting from all external influences and distractions, making a conscious effort to fully comprehend a particular subject matter. AttitudeAttitude- This is probably the single most important component to determining whether someone would or could be successful or not. Often times this is one quality that either propels one to, or prevents one from greatness. One has to have the right mindset, which directly attributes to having the right attitude. Attitude is everything

Work Ethic- Part of having the right attitude is, knowing the Ethicimportance of having a great & sustained work ethic. No one can expect anything worthwhile from a lack luster effort. We are of the belief that one truly does get out what they put in . This by in large is why some athletes are consistently able to dominate others, and why some teams are constantly amongst the elite of their respective sports. This is how greatness is realized. ConfidenceConfidence- { Work + Trust = CONFIDENCE } Knowing that you ve put in the necessary work in learning all you need to know to execute a given assignment, and trusting that you ve prepared yourself to the best of your ability in knowing when, how, and why to apply all of which you ve learned breeds the necessary confidence required in order for one to be great.
Confidence is wholeheartedly knowing without doubt that you re capable of accomplishing that which you seek to accomplish, regardless of any and all adverse circumstances you might encounter It s knowing that you have the resources within you to conclude, the intelligence to apply, the skill to execute, and resilience to overcome.

There Is Simply No Substitute For Confidence
