1.1 Outline
Characteristics of the Network Authentication functions (Pop Before SMTP, SMTP authentication, APOP authentication) have been improved. Network function (Ping Test) is added.

Menu for Network Setting

To access Network setting, touch the [Utility/Counter] button first. Touching [Admin.2] available from [Admin. Management] will display [Network Settings]. IP Address, Subnet mask, and Default Gateway can be set from [Basic Settings] which is available from [Network Settings].

For POP before SMTP, POP will be used as receiving action prior to the mail transmission. For SMTP authentication, user is authenticated when transmitting mails. (Besides mail server, it must be supported by mail software at client PC.) POP before SMTP

Authentication method which encrypts password used for receiving E-Mail. Normal POP may possibly be intercepted since the password itself will be transmitted. APOP is safer than POP since the password is encrypted.

Admin. 2 Ping Ping transmission test is available from bizhub 350/250/200.

Set any valid IP address and touch [Start] key to perform ping transmission test. When succeeded:Reply from <IP Address> : OK When failed:Reply from <IP Address> : NG will be displayed.

Scan to E-mail This function attaches the scanned data to an E-mail to be transmitted. The client PC will access mail server to receive the scanned data attached to an E-mail.

Scan to SMB This function transmits the scanned data directly to the shared folder of the Windows at client PC.

Scan to FTP This function transmits the scanned data to the FTP server from the Copier. The client PC accesses to the FTP server to receive scanned data.

Scan to I-Fax This function transmits the scanned data to the Internet Fax machine of the recipient by using E-mail. The Internet Fax machine of the recipient accesses to the mail server to receive scanned data, and prints out.

Internet Fax Reception (I-Fax Print) This function receives the internet Fax transmitted from the internet Fax machine of the other party and prints it out. Access to the mail server to receive the Internet Fax and print it out.

IP Address Fax (LAN-FAX) This function transmits scanned data from this machine to the machine of the same type through intranet without mail server. It transmits the scanned image using SMTP.

Scan to PC

This function directly transmits the scanned data to the client PC through intranet, not through mail server. It uses SMTP to transmit the scanned image. IP Scanner needs to be installed to the client PC, and the Image Receiver must be set to run.

Setting the address by IP Scanner

1. Run the IP Scanner, and select Connection Setting from Settings to connect to MFP.

2. Select Scanner Settings from Scanner menu.

3. Set the quality and file format, etc, and touch scanner key registration.

4. Touch the extended scan key on the control panel to select the scanner key.

Name of the Scan File are as follows.

Binary Division (Only when Scan to E-mail is used)
When the Binary Division is ON and Image data size exceeds Maximum Mail Size, data will be divided by Binary to be transmitted. Divided data will be automatically reconstructed when the mail client receive it. (Example: MS Outlook)

Page Division (When Scan to E-mail/Internet Fax is used) When Page division is ON, data will be divided by pages to be transmitted. Divided data will not be reconstructed but stay divided by pages.

Priority Compression Level (Mail mode) It is the upper limit of the transmission size/upper limit of the transmitted quality/encoding method with priority when transmitting Internet fax/IP address fax.

2.2 Scanner Function (27/29)


Domain Name

It is the function which adds the registered text after the text which user entered on the operation panel.
It is convenient when adding the predetermined domain name. Up to six domain names can be registered as the text.
Example: Registration:Register @konicaminolta.jp beforehand. 1. 2. Enter the letter to the panel = tanaka Touch Domain on the operation panel, and select @konicaminolta.jp.

tanaka@konicaminolta.jp will be set as the address.

Searching E-mail Address by LDAP E-mail address registered to LDAP server can be searched by 350/250/200. Set the search conditions on the control panel to start searching. Registered E-mail address which meets the search conditions will be displayed.

2.2 Scanner Function (29/29)


Automatic Change of the Address By registering two addresses to a one-touch key, it automatically transmits to the sub-registered address when failing to transmit to the main address. It can also transmit by G3Fax when Network transmission by Internet or Intranet are not available.

PPD Driver UI (Windows) User interface of the PS driver which is Windows OS standard. It should be installed from Add Printer Wizard.

3.3 Driver Function (9/20)


Device Option Setting Device option can be set on PCL properties. By pressing Gather Option Information, the current option setting can be reflected on the printer driver. At this time use printer Name or IP address.

File Margin ([Setup tab]) - Binding This function leaves margins by shifting the position to print document. The position to print document can be changed by setting the File Position.

Skip Blank Pages ([Setup tab]) - Output This function skips to output the blank page.

Note) Some blank page may be output depending on the data of printed document.

User Authentication/Account Track ([Setup tab] Output) ID and password should be entered while User authentication/account Track are being set.

3.3 Driver Function (16/20)


Secure Print This function is for Security print Input ID and Password with Printer Driver Touch [Box] key on the control panel, select [Secure Print], and enter ID and password. Select confidential document from the document list. (Print/Delete) Since this document is to be stored in the memory, the job will be deleted with 350/250/200 Power being OFF. It will deleted even after printing is finished.

3.3 Driver Function (17/20)


Automatic Deletion of Confidential Document The time to automatically delete the confidential document can be set. (1 to 24 hours) Set the time on the software switch (mode036).

Proof Print When printing more than 2 copies, test sheet will be printed. Example) Select 3 copies and Proof and Print. One copy will be printed. (test sheet)
Setting can be changed on the control panel of the copier if necessary. Example) 3 copies -> 5 copies Touch Print key.

All document will be printed.

3.3 Driver Function (19/20)


Automatic Deletion of the Proof Print The time to delete the Proof Print document in the memory can be set. (10 min./20 min./30 min.) Setting the time for Operation panel: [Utility/Counter] - [MFP Set]-[Proof Print Hold Time]

3.3 Driver Function (20/20)


Storing in the User Box This function stores printed document in the Hard Disk (option) in 350/250/200. Enter the file name to be stored with Printer Driver. Touch [Box] on the operation panel, and select [Store to HDD] from the document list to select the printed document. Print Status Notifier
Job process status for 350/250/200 on Network can be obtained. Since transmission is by TCP/IP, both 350/250/200 and the Client PC need to have TCP/IP set. Print Status Notifier is supported only by PCL printer driver.

Printer Setting
Printer setting has two types of settings: Setting by User mode, and by Administrator mode.

Setting by User mode It will be displayed by [Printer Setting] key which is available from [Utility/Counter] key.

Setting by Administrator mode It will be displayed by the following operation. [Utility/Counter] - [Admin. Management] - [Admin. 2] - [Printer Setting]
