-: Introduction & Background : In the earlier time, lab management was working manually. i.e. at every time when student come for walking or booking ,lab instructor had to check the machine is available for desired slot, desired time and desired day. Its very time consuming process and instructor had to make an entry manually to System and then allot the machine. As the major system working manually and most precious time of lab instructor was wasted in making manual entries which can be minimize through remote login. The purpose of this software is to save the at least from making manual entries via remote login. Also the software which records the session information for each student. This data can be use by Management, Faculties and Lab Instructor to track the progress of the student.

-: Synopsis : Client-server technology developed as applications were decentralized from PCs and mainframe computers. Desktop computers were connected through a network or LANs (Local Area Networks) and WANs (Wide Area Networks). In this equation, clients are the machines or programs that request services from another machine or server on the network. The server is linked to databases or the Web and performs the processing of the request and the delivery of the response .

-: Client Server Architecture : Client-server software architecture is versatile and flexible in todays fastchanging IT landscape. It is modular in structure and relies on messaging services for communication between components. They were designed to improve flexibility, usability, scalability, and interoperability. Software flexibility implies the ability for a program to change easily according to different users and different system requirements.

Operating System-: Front End Software-: Back End Software-: Windows XP (Professional) Microsoft Visual Basic.Net (2005). Microsoft Access 2003.

-: Lab Info System : The software is divide into two applications, one is resided on server side and other is on end user side. Server side application is integrated with the no. of basic facilities like Current Lab Status, Advance Student & Batch Booking and Status Checking, Database Backup, Reports Generation Feature. Also Important Notice can be flashed on each user screen through input data from Server. End User side application is provided with minimum i.e. Login Screen, Registration Form for the first time user, Session information and Summary form.

-: Server Side Application : Current Lab Status-: This feature provides detail information about Date, PC No, Student Name, User id, Subject they are practicing, Login Time, Log Off Time, Duration, Status [Log-in/Log-off] etc for current day and also previous records. Advance Booking-: This feature allows to make advance booking for student and batch. Also one can check the status of both these facilities. Database Backup-: Allows to backup database which contains all the data to other location so that you can preserve the old data. Report Generation-: It currently generates the reports for Registered Students and Student Log

-: End User Side Application : End User terminal displays Login Interface, which accepts the Valid User Information (User ID and Password), creates the entry in the back-end database and allows user to access the machine. Also after login, it shows the live session information like Student Code, Name, Subject, Login Time, Duration etc. If the student is using the application for the first time, he/she has to follow the simple registration process. After log off, Summary form displays whole session information.
