Texas Tech Test Well Facilities Conclusions

The Department of Petroleum Engineering is working to secure corporate donations for the required surface production equipment. We estimate that we will have the Texas Tech Test Well Facilities operational by June 2003. In addition to equipment donations, the Department of Petroleum Engineering is planning to contact major integrated oil companies about conducting research with us in order to sponsors graduate student education.
29

Texas Tech Test Well Facilities Conclusions

The department has contacted ATMOS Corporation in order to connect to their existing natural gas pipeline. The primary purpose for the gas connection is to:
Fuel surface facilities. Commingle gas with oil and water to measure multiphase pressure drops. Demonstrate and measure the effectiveness of Gas Lift installations. Demonstrate the operating principles of Plunger lift 30 installations.

Texas Tech Test Well Facilities Conclusions

Upon project completion, we want to advertise the facility and publicize its corporate sponsors. We hope that the Texas Tech University Test Well Facilities will become one of the premier Educational and Production Research Facilities in the nation.
