basis.

Take heed (guard) therefore unto yourselves,

Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the
church of God, which he hath purchased
with his own blood. For I know this, that
after my departing shall grievous wolves

speaking perverse things, to draw away
disciples after them. (Acts 20:28-30 )

The elders which are among you I exhort, who am

also an elder, and a witness of the sufferings of
Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall
be revealed: Feed the flock of God which is among
you, taking the oversight thereof, not by
constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre
(greedy for money), but of a ready mind (eager to
serve); Neither as being lords over God's heritage,
but being ensamples (examples) to the flock.
And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye
shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not
away. (1 Peter 5:1-4 AV)

I. Provider "feeder"

John 21: 15-17 Jesus told Peter to "feed my sheep“

Not ice cream and cake or delicacies

To feed the people on the Word of God.
Sometimes milk and sometimes meat, sometimes
stronger meat than others. Also must keep himself
feed on the word. Plus know how to prepare the
food.

II. Pioneer "leader"

Motto: "Follow me as I follow Christ"

He is a leader of the sheep. Sheep are not

driven but lead. He is a file-leader of the
congregation. He is a leader in:

III. Protector "defend"

Vigilant. He must know the enemy and

be mindful of the dangers which lurk about
the flock. Be willing to defend the flock
with his life. Acts 20:28-31

symptoms of spiritual diseases. Also to
be able to diagnose the problem and
