ALL ARE EASY TO READ WHEN WRITTEN AS A WORD OR A PHRASE ALL ARE DIFFICULT TO READ WHEN THERE IS MORE TEXT THAN A NORMAL HEADING CONTAINS THE MORE WRITING THERE IS, THE MORE ANNOYING THIS FONT BECOMES

Using a font color that does not contrast with the background color is hard to read (presentation) Using color for decoration is distracting and annoying. Using a different color for each point is unnecessary Trying to be creative can also be bad O (the colure is bad)
9

How much attention are you giving to this text? How easy is this to read?

10

Be consistent
More professional Easier to read Less distracting

Use theme colors , fonts, & backgrounds Use the same background for all slides
11

Font color should contrast with background

E.g.: dark font on a light background

Use color to reinforce structure

E.g.: light blue title and dark blue text

Can use color to emphasize a point

But only use this occasionally

This page contains too many words for a presentation slide. It is not written in point form, making it difficult both for your audience to read and for the presenter to continue speaking. It appears to have a lot of information, but really the slide doesnt say much at all. The biggest problem is that almost all of you in the room will read all the way to the end of this paragraph before you pay any attention to anything Im saying. Dont believe me? Well what did I just say? This bad slide just wasted about 20 seconds of the presentation time, because it averted your attention away from me.

13

5 x 5 rule:

About 5 points per slide (or less) About 5 words per point (or more)

around 25-35 words

Incomplete sentences

Speed 1 slide per 2 minutes

15

Show one point at a time:

Helps audience to concentrate Prevents audience from reading ahead Helps you stay focused

or

Show the whole slide at once, but pause long enough for the audience to read all of it
16

Avoid animation

Its very distracting
