Conclusion • I don’t believe that coffee is a harmful substance. Unless the person drinks 7 to 8 cups of coffee per day, there should be no side effects other than the occasional “jitteriness”, or minor anxiety. If you experience muscle spasms, heart palpitations, or trouble sleeping, decaffeinated coffee would be a sensible transition. Coffee drinking in moderation is almost always harmless.
