World Food Prize Laureate Award Ceremony World Food Prize founder and Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Dr. Norman Borlaug is escorted by World Food Prize chairman John Ruan III and president Ambassador Kenneth Quinn The 2007 Laureate Award Ceremony was attended by over 700 guests representing more than 60 countries Twin violinists Wagner and Walter Caldas of Brazil peformed at the 2007 Laureate Award Ceremony. The twins also performed at the 2006 Ceremony. That performance ultimately led to a music scholarship at the University of Northern Iowa Dr. Philip Nelson was honored as the 2007 World Food Prize Laureate.
