Writing a hamburger paragraph is pretty easy, and there are only four things you really need to remember. First, write a topic sentence that clearly indicates what the whole paragraph is going to be about. This is the top bun of the burger. Second, compose several sentences that give information about the topic. These are the real meat of the thingthe most important part of a burger. Third, pair each patty with another sentence that gives more detail about the information. This keeps your paragraph from sounding like a list. Finally, write a sentence in which you restate the top bun in another way. I call this the bottom burger bun. As you can see, writing a hamburger paragraph is very simple to do.

The Hamburger Paragraph (a three-patty example) I think that having a new high school in my neighborhood would be a great because it would increase education, bring joy and laughter, and allow educational choice. First, the high school would allow for better educated people. To illustrate, a new high school would allow for more people to get an education. Another important point is that having many high school kids around would liven up my neighborhood with their youthful spirit. For instance, more cafes and restaurants would open encouraging culture. Lastly, having a new high school would allow for more competition between high schools. This would ultimately lead to a better education being given. Without any doubt, having a high school in my community would be a positive influence for everyone who lives here.

I support this plan to build a new high school in my community because it increases education and communication. Firstly, a new high school will help to increase the education of community members. For instance, if there is a new high school then students will have access to better technology. As a result, having access to technology will make them achieve more and become more successful. Secondly, having a new high school means that there will be more students and their communication will increase. To illustrate, if there are more students, then there are more opportunities to be social. Consequently, people are social and they will become more successful if they develop their social skills. As I have shown you, building a new high school will be excellent for the community.
