The attraction and new investment in Dubai is Sand Ski which for desert discovery activities for entertainment and fun as indoor ski resort of the tourists and visitors. The Sand Ski is enjoyable as much as Snow Skiing activities with benefits for dressing normally without facing cold weather but warm & pleasant sunny weather.

Dubai SandSki is very unique in Dubai as there is no specific management providing this activity during the season of December January. The sand skiing is unusual sport which is fun, speed and enthusiasm in the Dubais desert which is new tourist destination. The weather within the SandSki indoor resort will provide suitable weather for having fun with activities in the sand.

The location of the Dubai SandSki is near Al Maha Resort in the Shiekh Zayed Road.

Dubai is tourist center area where there are development of new projects which resulted in high profit and return on investment for any new starting project. Due to its aggressive travel and tourism development I have selected Dubai as target location for Dubai SandSki.

Location Attractiveness
The location near Al Maha Resort is attractive because it is accessible from Al Ain, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Hatta and Jebel Ali as shown clearly in the map. The location is also near famous locations for Global Village and Mall of the Emirates which is tourist and visitor center areas. There are many routes from which Dubai SandSki can be accessed and easily directed from.

The government of Dubai shows great support for tourism industry development and tourist attraction projects where Dubai SandSki is one of them. The private sectors such as travel and tourism offices and travel agents will provide support for marketing our facilities to the new tourists and visitors.

Furthermore, the hotels and restaurants are welcome to establish their operations within our premises with prior booking and contracts for 10 years.

Feasibility Study
The land estimation for complete facilities that are offered is around spreading 12,000 sq feet as indoor and covered area for parks which includes suspended cable car, electric cars, desert boarding, skiing and skating with hotels and restaurants.

The capital estimation is around 10 billion to start function Dubai SandSki project. It is expected that there will be 8,00,000 visitors on monthly basis from Dubai and other emirates.

Funding and Sponsorships

The investment capital was raised from sponsors willing to fund in Dubai SandSki project. We are able to raise 30 billion from well-known companies and organizations for the purpose of marketing and publicizing their funding to this project which is around 20% of the capital estimated.

The government of Dubai funded 50% of the capital investment and 30% was taken from well-known bank with no repayment for the first year to help the project establish and function. Furthermore, we have made arrangements with the bank to obtain 30% extra of the capital estimation after 3 months of Dubai SandSki launching.

Registration at Dubai
The Dubai Tourism and Commercial Marketing (DTCM) will assist in administrative tasks that are related to approvals and amendments for licensing Dubai SandSki. As a starting tourism center DTCM will help and guide us to obtain license from the Dubai Economic Department.

The general steps are submitting layout plans with financial information for the project, passport and national copy, location of business for building, developing and launching Dubai SandSki. All this process is after finalizing and contracting from concerned departments and builders.

The licensing will established as Commercial Company with the intention for leisure, sports, and entertainment which is aimed at economic profit generating organization. Therefore, the licensing procedure will be finalized with the Dubai Economic Department.

Market Assessment
In the demand assessment, the expected and estimated numbers of visitors expected are:

The types of customers expected are 60% local visitors (nationals and expatriates) and 40% internal tourists and visitors. Therefore, the Dubai SandSki will be targeting local customers and developing interests of international customers. During the launch of the Dubai SandSki it is expected that for the first 5 years there will be more local visitors than international visitors. Later on, when the marketing and awareness will cover international tourists there will be equality in the target visitors.

Market Assessment
In the supply assessment, the opening hours will be 10:00 am 02:00 am during the 7 days of the week. The staff hired will be around 80 for supporting the operations from frontline to back office. The skills required for frontline staff are communication and customer service with professionalism. In the back office the skills required are administrative, computing, communicating, coordination, negotiating, and etc. depending upon the nature of the tasks and role assigned as their position. The facilities provided for the customers are washrooms for female, male, and babies change room, prayer room, restaurants and hotels, and restrooms with seating within or in hallway and lobby as waiting room.
