Introduction/Company Background
About the Company: Saket Dairy Products is a NGO and is working in the field of animal husbandry and dairy framing When it was setup: Setup in 2005 in Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh Area of Operation: Animal husbandry, dairy farming and Milk development Products: Livestock (for selling), Milk Supply Chain: They have subsidize framers in the near by villages for purchase of livestock with a promise to buy the milk and help them further breeding of livestock They purchase milk from the farmers and process it further in their processing units Currently they sell milk in the nearby areas of Sultanpur and Faizabad in U.P. with the help of their own hired staff

Abstract
Purpose of the study This study seeks to estimate the consumers buying pattern of milk, scope for new brand and the loyalty on their current brand. Design/methodology/approach The study applies multivariate data analysis technique to determine the impact of the milk brand launch due to existing milk products in the market. In addition, this study help to identify the consumer awareness about the milk adulteration and the ways to measure them. Findings

Objectives of the research


To identify the consumer buying pattern. To identify the quality of the product used by the customer. To identify what are the alternatives used by the consumer in case of high prices of the dairy products. To measure consumer faith about the quality of their current consumed products. To determine the flexibility of the consumer in switching to other brands.

Hypothesis for the Research Questions are on following dimensions: 1. Customer behavior 2. Consumption Pattern 3. Brand Loyalty 4. Flexibility to switch

Online survey

Sample size
A sample size of 500 consumers was taken into consideration. Out of which 53 valid response were received.

Online survey posted at Google+, Facebook, and emails to MDI PTPGMP batch 2010 and 2011

Sampling framework
The list of elements from which a sample may be drawn also called working population . We posted at online survey at Google+, Facebook, and emailed it to MDI PTPGMP batch 2010 , 2011 and used it as a sample for our research.

Method of Analysis Online survey. This technique was determined to be the best method for collecting the research data for the following reasons:
Cost Effectiveness. Survey gets conducted in a very short span.

Type of Research (Basic/Applied) It is an Applied Research: It is undertaken to answer questions about specific problems or to make decisions about a particular course of action or policy decision. Descriptive Research It is used to reveal the nature of shopping or other customer behavior.
