Traffic jam is defined as the number of vehicles

blocking one another until they can scarcely move which are characterized by slower speeds, longer trip time, and increased queuing Notable causes of traffic jam include violation of traffic rules, deplorable road condition, random stoppage of vehicles, unauthorized parking and use of footpath illegally

The inhabitants living in Dhaka city are now

approximately over 10 million As the population is growing, so the number of cars and traffic jam is also increasing day by day Government took many initiatives to reduce traffic jam but those were unsuccessful all the time General peoples cooperation is also needed to make the initiatives successful

Government initiatives are not enough to reduce traffic jam without the cooperation of general people

Public transports are more acceptable among male

than female People want to obey the traffic rules but in reality most of them ignore traffic rules as there are so many opportunities open like bribing a traffic sergeant etc. According to the respondents, the main reason of traffic jam is centralized Dhaka. 19 out 20 respondents think that only Government initiatives are not enough to reduce traffic jam, general peoples cooperation is also important.
