US Agriculture uses nearly 40 million plastic containers each year. Most of these containers go into landfills that cause Americas landfill capacity to be decreasing.
Why Recycle?
Care to guess how many pounds of pesticides the Nation used in 1964? How about in 1993? National use of pesticides grew from about 540 million pounds in 1964 to about 1.1 billion pounds in 1993.

FACT: Pesticides are mostly modern chemicals. There are many hundreds of these compounds, and that leads us to ask just how concerned we should be about their presence in our drinking water.

They are used in synthetic fibers; beverage, food and other liquid containers; thermoforming applications; and engineering resins often in combination with glass fiber.
