The pharaoh decreed that all Hebrew baby boys were to be killed.

So the mother of Moses hid him in the weeds of the Nile river. In result the babys crying alerted the princess of Egypt to go to the baby she decided to keep him as her own. This was a miracle because he easily could have been killed or eaten by the crocodiles.

The pharaoh's daughter decided to make the baby her own she named him Moses because it means to come from water. She arranged to have the real mother of Moses to be her midwife and feed the child. She did this unknowingly. Moses learned all the ways of the Egyptians and held on the his Hebrew roots. He became bilingual and learned the ways of war, trained in leadership, educated, and trained for the military.

One day Moses watched as a Egyptian slave driver beat a Hebrew man. Moses looked to make sure no one was looking and struck the man till he died. This showed that Moses wasnt unhappy with the injustice he saw and couldnt stand it anymore he was short temper.

Moses was scared to be killed by the pharaoh so he fled to Midian. In Midian he married a shepherd girl named Zipporah. This showed his cowardly trait Moses was scared so he ran. Until Moses meets God he shows some undesirable traits which he changes with experience.

In this scene god presented himself to Moses as a burning bush. This bush was different it burned like no other thing in this world. Moses talked to God he told him what he wanted him to do and how to do it. Moses showed he was lazy, disobedient and selfish at first when god told him of the mission to save the Israelites.

Moses confronted Pharaoh 10 times trying to convince him to let the Hebrews go. He showed the pharaoh miracles and things to change his mind but it took ten times. Moses could easily looked like an idiot or crazy if one of these miracles did not occur like the staff turning into a snake. He had to have so much trust in God.

Moses raised his staff and his hands up to the sky in front of all his followers and trusted in god that he would save them. The Egyptian warriors were following right behind Moses and his people. The sea split while all of the Israelites walked through and the walls of water collapsed on the pharaohs 600 chariots killing all the Egyptians. This showed that Moses had faith in god that he would do something to help them.

All the Israelites were complaining to Moses that they were hungry so one day god rained down manna and quail for them to eat. People kept more then they needed and god didnt like this. All the people were cursed with a plague this taught Moses and his followers to not be greedy just take what you need.

Moses went up Mt.Sinai to get the ten commandments from God. When Moses was gone Aaron ordered all the Israelites to melt down there gold to make an idol to worship. God was furious at the site of them worshiping some idol when he saved them 40 days before. This event showed Moses commitment to god he ran down the mountain to stop them as fast as possible.

God told Moses to send 12 spies one from each tribe to check out the city of Cannan. They were to return with fruits and information on the people there. For every day the spies were gone they had to wander the desert for a year, so 40 years.

God told Moses they shall wander these deserts for 40 years. He will not be the one to lead them to the promised land. All of their children and offspring will see this land but not them as a punishment. Moses at this point had nothing left in my opinion he could have easily just left all the people but he stayed with them till he died and they moved on to the promised land like god had said.

God told Moses and Aaron to gather the community in front of the rock and to speak to the rock. If they did so water would start gushing from the rock. So Moses and Aaron did as God commanded but instead of talking to the rock Moses raised his staff up and hit the rock but water still gushed forth. Because he did not follow Gods orders he told Moses you shall not be the one to take them to the promised land.

The Lord sent fiery serpents down among the Israelites that killed and many. The community went to Moses to tell to plead to god for the serpents to be gone, but God told Moses that if he put a bronze serpent on top of a staff anyone that looked at it and believed would be healed. This story shows that Moses and the Israelites had to believe in something almost impossible to have it work.
