Printed electronics
electrical devices on various substrates. For example:- films, ceramics, glass and silicon.
Electrically functional electronic or optical inks are deposited on the substrate, creating active or passive devices, such as thin film transistorsor resistors.
Printed electronics is characterized by simpler and more cost-effective fabrication of high and low volume products.

These batteries with a Nano-structuredlattice at the cathodeandanode will allow the battery to recharge at a surprising eighty times faster rate than previous batteries.
It is the latest technology battery developed in 2010, too flexible, 100-micrometer-thick energy-storage sheets that could be molded onto electronics and medical devices or laminated beneath flexible solar panels.

It is not a true battery, instead it is ultra capacitor device that stores charge on its electrode surfaces.

It has conventional zinc manganese-dioxide components as anode and cathode. Sandwiched in between, the cell's chemical power source remains a closely guarded secret. Paper power claims the material is non-toxic and non-corrosive, making the battery safe to use without casing.
The solid-state inorganic nature of the battery is the key to its high performance.
Zinc and manganese react with one another and produce electricity 5/3/12 Department of
Manufacturing Methods
Printed Electronics is an additive processing method, whereby a functional material is deposited in a controlled manner to print the desired pattern.

Flexographic Printing :
Relatively cheap start-up due to use of rubber plates. Incompatibility problem. Conventional plate materials (polymers) are not very
compatible with Allows printing of films with a wide new solvent systems used in printed range of electronics thicknesses from 50nm to 5 m. Good scalability of line width.

Ink-Jet Printing :
Various active layers are deposited via inkjet. Low-temperature anneal forms S/D stripes and connections.(in plane of page)
Possible to use a wide range of substrates. Low viscosity and low concentration ink formulations. Much cheaper than photolithograph process or 5/3/12 Department of

It weighs less than one gram on the scales. It contains no mercury and is in this respect environmentally friendly.
Its voltage is 1.5 V, which lies within the normal range. By placing several batteries in a row, voltages of 3 V, 4.5 V and 6 V can also be achieved.
Its composed of different layers: a zinc anode and a manganese cathode, among others. Zinc and manganese react with one another and produce electricity.

Application
The battery will be used to power electronic components built into smart labels and credit cards, allowing these tiny devices to store, display and transmit data.
The battery will be used to power flashing lights and jingles on novelty cards and other promotional products. Examples:- greeting cards and mouse pads. Technically it works like any other battery, but the battery can be cut into any size and shape according to the need of our product.
