INTRODUCTION
. PROJECT CONCEPTUALIZATION HMIS project is conceptualized by the department of health &family welfare to ensure the quality health care by IT application in such a manner so has to provides of standard clinical &diagnostic protocols , hospital management tools and integration of management information at the state level so as to ensure online review & monitoring. This is aimed at management of vital patient records, analysis of the critical health related data so as to provide an updated planning & policy tool towards provision of quality heath services.

To provide early alerts on disease trends & Cause of deaths as per International codes for Disease surveillance and rapid action. 5. Blood Bank Management


Blood Bank Management module supports all the functionalities of Blood Bank such as receiving requisitions for blood and issuing blood and blood products. It also helps monitor the blood collection and blood transfusion process and records the details of the process. It provides provision to record the donor or recipient reactions. This module helps you manages the storage of blood and blood items and also helps you maintain the stock.

Blood Inventory Management


This software module will record, maintain and manage following information regarding blood related stock details. It provides details on following:Whole blood Components of Blood Maintenance and servicing details of the stock equipments Unit receiving Test result entry Unit inquiries, transfers. Compatible blood type searches Bar coding capabilities Inventory controls Automatic cancellation of product orders and reserve units for discharged patients.

Clinical Management
The system will be a central registry for collecting information regarding all hemophilia patients and other congenital bleeding disorders. The system will record information about the transfusion history, treatment of bleeding episode and will monitor various aspects of hemophilia patents on regular basis. It also helps to track the complete history of the products being transfused to any patient. Further, expert consultation and awareness seminars can also be organized using video conferencing.

Mobile Management
This system helps to manage and control mobile Blood-bank Campaign or Programs and serves as marketing information collector. Its web-based feature works on anytime and anywhere concept and helps to capture data from the various locations

Blood Component Production Management

This system provides an interface to record and maintain blood components production details. It has a built-in stable multi-level quarantine system

Functions Donors data entry Details of donors such as name, address, contact number and blood group are maintained in the system through Donor Data Entry The details can be printed as and when required. Blood Bank Module

Blood Transfusion Services Provides for patient registration assists in donor recruitment, maintains stock, performs blood cross matching and monitors issues Donor history, cross match result, antibody profiles transfusion outcome, etc should be maintained. This module provides a variety of statistical reports and allows online inquires. In addition, the following features are available 1. There is a facility available in the system to record and maintain donor information including record of blood donated. 2. On-line availability of stock positions of all blood products. 3. Patient inquiry gives all the details of previous transfusions. 4. Blood products nearing expiry date can be identify. 5. Donors can be contact in case of emergency requirements for blood.

Blood Bank Management Features


1. Donor Management 1.1 The system maintains a database of all donors with critical information such as blood type, antigen profile, phone numbers, address, notes etc. 1.2 Displays the records of previous donations, whether the blood was used for blood products and ultimate fate is made available as and when required. 2. Confirmation Test 2.1 The module allows maintaining / printing of various codes used in the system, such as: Blood Group, Antibodies 2.2 Containing mechanisms to define various additives used in blood products. 2.3 Enables entering and updating of Test results, with a provision to warn the user in the event of mismatch. 2.4 The system allows the department staff to enter and maintain details regarding cross matching of blood units for each registered test.

3. Blood Stock Management 3.1 Along with each blood product code, its description, anticoagulant, method of preparation, additive and expiry period is store. The minimum / maximum stock for each blood group can be specifying. 3.2 There is a facility to maintain and update Bloodstock / inventory including the following details as and when new units are receive: Unit number -Product Blood group Anti-body Date of donation and expiry Transfusion center / other source 3.3 The system enables reservation of units for a patient and vice-versa. Reserved units are not to be allocated or issued out. 3.4 Units in stock at times get spoilt, expire, etc., and need to be made unavailable for use either temporarily or permanently. 3.5 Facility to destroy/delete expired stock. 3.6 The system can enable issue, updating and reserving of transfused / returned blood unit. 3.7 Details of units of blood product, which are likely to expire on a particular date, can list out. 3.8 The system is able to generate a statistics on blood usage and wastage.

4. Transfusion Management 4.1 The system allows maintenance of details for transfusion centers like name, address, telephone number, person in charge. 4.2 Information on sources other than transfusion centers can be store separately. 4.3 The facility to record various reactions to transfusion of blood products like being allergic, no reaction
