C++ is an object-oriented programming language. It was developed By Bjarne Stroustrap at AT&T Bell Laboratories in Murray Hill, New Jersey, USA, in the early 1980s. Stroustrup, an admirer of Simula67 and a strong supporter of C, wanted to combine the best of both the languages and create a more powerful languages that could support object-oriented programming features and still retain the

power and elegance of C. The result was C++. Therefore, C++ is an extension of c
with a major addition of the class construct feature of Simula67. Since the class was a major addition to the original c language, Stroustrup initially called the new language c with classes. However, later in 1983, the name was change to C++. The idea of C++ comes from the c increment operator ++, thereby suggesting that C++ is an augmented (incremented) version of c.

A bank is a financial intermediary that accepts deposits and channels those deposit into lending activities, either directly or through capital markets. A bank connects customers with capital deficits to customers with capital surpluses. Banking is generally a highly regulated industry, and government restrictions on financial activities by bank have varied over time and location. The current set of

global bank capital standards is called Basel II. In some countries such as Germany,
banks have historically owned major stakes in industrial corporations while in other countries such as the United States banks are prohibited from owning nonfinancial companies. In Japan, banks are usually the nexus of a cross-share holding entity known as the keiretsu. The oldest bank still in existence is Monte dei Paschi, headquartered in Siena, Italy, which has been operating continuously since 1472.

The definition of a bank varies from country to country. See the relevant country page (below) for more information. Under English common law, a banker is defined as a person who carries on the business of banking, which is specified as: Conducting current accounts for his customers Paying cheques drawn on him, and Collecting cheques for his customers.
