HYGIENE the employment of the ind practice w/c will make him healthy. SANITATION the effective use of the measure w/c will create & maintain environment condition MILITARY SANITATION the Army keeping its soldier healthy & preventing the area from diseases and its spread among personnel for the purpose of maintaining of strength. FIELD WATER SUPPLY means of avoiding disease in the field through drinking water from an approved source to fit the human consumption.

WATER DISCIPLINE proper usage of water through conservation & safeguarding pollution against water source. MALARIA DISCIPLINE treating the individual in the proper usage of personal protection against malaria. COMMUNICABLE DISEASES disease transmitted from person to person, from animal to person and this includes contagious disease, which are spread by direct contact, close associated or by droplet.

PERSONS RESPONSIBLE ON H & S


COMMANDER responsible for all aspect s in the implementation of the Army Health Sanitary program. SURGEON GENERAL principal adviser to the CS in all matters pertaining to the health of the troops. MEASURES TO IMPROVE AND PROTECT HEALTH

2. Personal cleanliness 3. Eating food rich in protein 4. Exercise regularly 5. Rest & Recreation 6. Protection against biting insects. Ex: mosquito, flies

RULES OBSERVE TO AVOID ILLNESS IN THE FIELD 1. Consume fluid from approved source of water. 2. Proper disposal of waste 3. Keep finger and other contaminated object out of mouth and wash hands before eating. 4. Protect against bite of infected mosquito or other insects. 5. Protect against unnecessary wetting and chilling. Change clothes that suites to the weather. 6. Do not share other personal items. 7. Drink enough water. 8. Do not scatter used cans. 9. Guard against STD.

SOURCE OF WATER

SURFACE WATER mostly contaminated ROOT WATER less contaminated coming from well, natural spring RAIN WATER considered as the safest source of water FORM OF WATER POLLUTION
