First, before we begin the election, we need to learn some valuable information about the president and the Executive Branch!
Barack Obama
The
President of the United States is Commander-In-Chief. Other duties of the president include: Veto bills and sign bills. Nominate Cabinet members and Supreme Court Justices. Call out troops. Enforce the laws that Congress passes. Represent the best interest of all the people.
The
President cannot: Make laws. Declare war. Decide how federal money will be spent. Interpret laws. Choose Cabinet members or Supreme Court Justices without Senate approval.

The Cabinet's role is to advise the President on any subject he may require relating to the duties of each member's respective office.
