networking system at the ATHENS 2004 OLYMPICS. It shows how the networking system was designed and what all problems it dealt with. The case also depicts the system configuration of the software which was used to control and manage the activities at the Olympic games.

The solution of the network problem in this

scenario was the adoption of the GAME MANAGEMENT SYSTEM and INFORMATION DIFFUSION SYSTEM which managed all the real time data of the activities giving speedy and accurate statistics yo the commentators as well as to the audiences.
To prevent loss of important information back-up of

data were created.

They used VLANS( Virtual Local area network) to

simplify troubleshooting and to limit damage if any one 7/2/12 managed to break into the network.

System can be designed in various alternative

ways using the following concepts:

Biometric devices Digital surveillance Firewalls Intrusion detection systems

The solution of the network problem opted

in this scenario was the adoption of the game management system and information diffusion system which managed all the real-time data of the activities giving speedy and accurate statistics to the commentators as well as to the audiences.

The above case highlighted the networking
