DEMAND CREATION ACTIVITIES AMONG THE END USERS OF ALL BERGER PRODUCTS WITH AN ADHESIVE- A STUDY ON BERGER PAINTS BANGLADESH LTD. CHITTAGONG SALES OFFICE, CHITTAGONG.

OBJECTIVES OF THIS STUDY:


**To know the current market position of Berger Paints Bangladesh Limited in targeting Developers market. **To measure, understand and analyze the current level of Demand creation among end users of all Berger Products and specific services of adhesive.

METHODOLOGY:
The methodology is based on the practical observation. In order to complete this report I Proceeded through work plan. This report is based on my observation of activities and performance of BPBL. During the period of my internship I have performed practical work in many places and gathered both primary and secondary data to prepare this report. The study is both theoretical and practical one. The details of the work plan are furnished below: PRIMARY SOURCES*Daily diary (containing my activities of practical orientation in BPBL) maintained by me.

*Practical work. Such as:- Customer drillings.


*Face to face conversation with the clients.(Discussed and observing)

Secondary sources *Different documents, papers and records from department. *Various publications on BPBL (existing literatures, journals, magazines, economic reports etc.) *Internal data and record of BPBL.

FINDINGS:
Berger Paint Market: From the above analysis it was found that total market share of the company in Chittagong reason is shown in the following.

From the pie chart we can see that Berger Paints Bangladesh LTD. is the industry leader with an overall market share of about 51% in the organized Paint market. It has the largest distribution network among the players and its aggressive marketing has earned it strong brand equity. The market can be further split into decorative Paints, industrial and marine Paints. So the demand for decorative Paints is highly pricesensitive. The industrial Paints segment, on the other hand, it is a high volume and low margin business.

BERGER ADHESIVE MARKET:

On the basis of my field survey, 33 respondents among 80 that means 41%sales of adhesive is Fast adhesive product in the adhesive market. Whereas Fevicol contribute 30% in the market which are accounts for 24 and 22% sales are used to power bond products of Berger in this market. Another 7% contains others adhesive and glue product.

SUMMARY OF FINDINGS:
Suggestion from Developers:
Most of the developers give their valuable suggestion to improve their relationship with BPBL and to make it much better. Followings are the common and most important suggestions given by the developer.

*Meeting emergency needs. *Introduce small size vehicle to meet emergency need. *Increase coverage of products. *Increase credit limit. Problem identification: Through most of the end-users think that, there are some complaints against Berger Paints. Which I have recognized during the interview session with the respondent, those are.. *The emergency delivery service is not effective in BPBL for fulfilling the customer need. *Berger has low promotional activities compared to other company. *Berger doesnt provide any credit facility. *Most of the retail store keep different adhesive because they got various facilities from various adhesive company. *Lack of opinion taken from end users. *Reduce quality of some Product.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
From during findings, the following recommendation can be formulated for Berger Product..

*According to the finding, price sensitivity seems to the very important factor so the companies can reduce price without sacrificing the quality.
*Arrangement of dealers training and should be arranged at more seminar, invitation regular interval. *Take huge promotional activities for power bond from Berger. *Berger increase sell should go through continuous monitoring in all steps of distributors and end users as possible. *Berger should create more good relationship among the dealers, retail store, and finally end users.

*For Demand creation in Customer mind, Berger should increase their promotional activities.
*Berger should provide credit facility to her Dealers.

CONCLUSION:
Berger paints Bangladesh Ltd has been the market leaders for a very long time. They have satisfied their customers with better product and service quality with reasonable price. They have excellent working environment and highly effective employees for which they are growing very fast. They make sure that all of their procedures are correctly done in order to be more successful in their field. Even after that, in my point of view- i want to say now a days business not means just selling and purchasing the products or services. This is very important to conduct the business in an organized and effective manner. Thats why the now question arise that how Organization can make business process more effective. For this reason I think, in future Berger main focus will be the consumers satisfaction and as per as possible they solve their all of barriers. And Berger will be associating themselves more concentrate with the progress and development of Bangladesh. Otherwise may be Berger loses her leadership.
