Her post-graduate teacher and mentor for 10 years was Chris Stevens, Alexander Technique Teacher and Doctor of Biomechanics at Surrey University.
Following her development of STAT Student Network, in 1994 Stephanie set up and co-ordinated STAT’s Continuing Professional Development Programme. She has served on STAT Council as Secretary and on the Publicity Committee that hired our first ever PR Consultant. Working with this committee, she helped organise the first ever Alexander Awareness Week and the Champagne Centenary Event at Australia House. This work included helping the PR company with articles and information for the media.
Stephanie Smith has been teaching full-time since qualifying and has a busy private practice in Theydon Bois, West Essex. She teaches introductory courses and gives explanatory talks about the Alexander Technique as well as having written articles and appearing on television to talk about and demonstrate the Technique. Stephanie has given Student Network workshops, CPD courses, AGM and Congress workshops.показать меньше
