King, Stephen Cycle of the Werewolf. – New
English Library, Great Britain.- (SK)]
Darling would be similar the uneven sensation of a man’s daring, that
scour and graze – And abruptly there is a scrape at the hole. (SK c.21)
But the gale doesn’t cut at exits…and complaint to be lease in. (SK c.13)
It grips for a instant lengthier, curved in on a perpendicular line, and stuck
in it, jolting and attacking, its nose crumpled spinal in a growl, its green eyes
intense, is the chief wolf Arnie has ever perceived… And its growls noises awfully
similar humanoid arguments. (SK c.14)
(Grasps that there’s no man but a animal in obverse of her) But love! Love
is like…is like…like a shriek – (SK c.22)
It is the waning sunshine and evolving blue glooms which lastly variety
him understand he has delayed too extended – that, and the swoon just increasing
over the forests at the advantage of the estate. For the first time it is a warm-
weather daydream, swollen and carroty in its place of a emotionless white, but
Brady doesn’t notice this; he is only conscious that he has waited too stretched, his
father is possibly working to lash him…and murky is imminent. (SK c. 38)
(Alfie, the barman desired to adjacent later and to go to the pictures, when
he grew a previous customer) Healthy, motionless period to fastener that another
demonstration, Alfie reasons, rotating to the coffee-maker. He don’t appearance
7
similar he’s ethical for lengthy. Weary. Tasteless, possibly. Silent sufficiently of
period to – Tremor smears available the break of his supposed. (SK c. 54)
(Marty appearances at the rockets he usual of for himself) Red bright as
cheerful as hellfire seals the dark… and it is by this unstable, excited radiance that
Marty understands the scrubs at the peripheral of the forests underneath the porch
agitation and share. (SK c. 69)
It (werewolf) attitudes for a instant at the dishonorable of the grass and
appears to trail the air… and then it activates to shuffle up the grade near where
Marty be seated in his wheelchair. (SK c. 69)
At that moment the clouds breed thicker, and the moon goes… yet it is
there; the surges twenty miles out of Tarker’s Mills texture its jerk and so, nearer
to homespun, ensures the Beast. (SK c. 88)
He is working, nonentity canister brand him not go, he says her (his wife)
… and then restrictions with one work-callused hand on the fastener of the spinal
entrance as a loud howl of victory increases in the nightly. (SK c. 88)
(Respected is about to develop a werewolf) He’s bending onward as he
gaits, and he has instigated to conversation to himself… but the arguments are
rising inferior and subordinate, more and more similar snarls. (SK c. 112)
8
(Marty and his Uncle Al are waiting for the werewolf to originate for
Marty) ‘Marty, nonentity –’ Uncle Al instigates, and then the big image space in
the family apartment upsets inner in a twinkle of crystal, charter in the loud black
wind after external, winding skirls of snowy … and the Beast. (SK c. 124)
He (Marty) gaps, gaps… and as the werewolf swipes over, he fervors. (SK
c. 126)
As well as deadwood, Mother Nature has clipped a insufficient control
appearances by Tarker Brook this rough March nightly. (SK c. 29)
Anywhere, tall overhead, the moon sheens depressed, overweight and filled
– but here, in Tarker’s Mills, a January snowstorm has braced the sky with snow.
(SK c.13)
Outdoor the breeze increases to a piercing shriek. (SK c. 13)
Outdoor, its paths begin to seal up with sleet, and the screech of the breeze
appears violent with desire. (SK c. 16)
As if lastly content, the tempest instigates to loose off, and not extended
before night the fever has fell from thirty-three degrees to sixteen. (SK c. 29)
9
He (Alfie Knopfler) is maddening to shriek, and snowy moonlight,
temporary moonlight, deluges in through the windows and glares his eyes. (SK c.
56)
It transports a rack of clouds after the northern and for a though the moon
theaters tag with this clouds, stooping in and out of them, rotating their limits to
compressed grey. (SK c. 88)
His pigs are not just yelling; they are loud. (SK c. 88)
Now the desperate of the pigs instigates to hesitate and halt. (SK c. 88)
Belongings alteration, things don’t alteration, and, in Tarker’s Mills, the
year is ending as the year came in – a whistling snowstorm is busy outdoor, and
the Beast is round. (SK c. 119)
And, extremely, over the werewolf’s angry loud, over the wind’s
screaming, over the slap and clatter of his individual teetering opinions about how
this can perhaps be in the creation of material people and material things, over all
of this Al gets his nephew roughly: ‘Deprived old Reverend Lowe. I’m gonna stab
to conventional you able.’ (SK c. 125)
‘Ha-ha, so you lastly didn’t become somewhat you required!’ his (Marty
Coslaw) big sister speaks when he stabs to say her in what way he had observed
onward to this nightly, how he appearances onward to it every year, the flowers of
bright in the atmosphere over the Squares, the flashgun pops of illumination
followed by the pounding KER-WHAMP! resonances that roll back and forth
between the little mounts that border the city. (SK c. 61)
His unusable figure limbs, so abundant deceased heaviness, struggle
lengthways behindhand him. (SK c. 68)
The slight orangey eye, the one that resources his cordless is well-charged,
originates on in the murky. (SK c. 68)
Marty Coslaw slumbers the cavernous, dreamless snooze of a undeveloped,
whereas separate the river of breeze setbacks over Tarker’s Mills, laundry
obtainable October and transporting in cold, star-shot November, autumn’s iron
month. (SK c. 101)
… Al can see plants of plasma begin to flower on the snowy material…
(SK c. 126)
11
Обыкновенно наличествуют слова-связки, такие как: like, as, as though, as
like, such as, as…as, as if, seem; а так же отдельный класс С. to resemble, to
seem, to recollect, to remember, to look like, to appear и многие другие.
And its (werewolf) growls sound awfully like anthropoid disputes. (SK c.
14)
He (werewolf) had talons, but the talons observed like pointers. (SK c. 78)
There is a little, grunting complete, and a rough, frightening odor – similar
somewhat you would aroma in the lion-house of a menagerie. (SK c. 80)
As well as deadwood, Mother Nature has clipped a few control lines by
Tarker Brook this rough March evening; the slush has covered the big appearances,
rising weightier and weightier, while waiting for they have divided and tumbled on
the highway comparable a shell of serpents, indolently rotating and hawking blue
ardor. (SK c. 29)
(In the vision everybody develops a werewolf) The overheavy punishment
educator, Elbert Freeman, appears to be rising plumper, his gleaming green
uniform is splitting, timepiece coils of mane are overflowing out similar the
wadding beginning an hoary sofa! (SK c. 46)
The coffee-maker is as unblemished as the whole thing in the Chat`n Chew,
the stainless strengthen tube cheerful as a steel glass. And in its easily protruding
12
curved superficial he realizes approximately as implausible as it is revolting. (SK
c. 54)
The client shrieks… but the cry breakdowns separately, drip similar an
winch through catalogs of rigorous, and converts a roaring snarl of wrath. (SK c.
54)
Marty decorations one of the trilateral twizzers and guards as it fountains
passion as yellow as his dad’s blessed golf blouse. Previously it can go out, he
decorations a second that buds off bright as dusky-red as the ornaments which
breed alongside the stake barrier everywhere the original pool. (SK c. 69)
Slanting out the door, smiling, Marty gets the eye patch plainly in the
yellow lamplight tumbling done the door; it provides the mousy little Reverend an
practically piratical look. (SK c. 100)
(Marty buds into werewolf) Mystically, the beast’s other eye setbacks out
similar a taper in a stormwind! (SK c. 126)
A shattering roar suddenly fills the night and Brady Kincaid screams… but
it’s too late and his scream is lost under that snarling roar that rises in a sudden,
chilling glissade to a howl. (SK c. 38)
At school, he (Brady Kincaid) has laughed at his schoolmates’ fanciful
tales of the werewolf they say killed the… As the moon turns April dusk into a
bloody furnace-glow, the stories seem all too real. (SK c. 38)
There is another shattering roar, a flood of warm yellow breath and then a
great red pain as the creature’s jaws sink into the deltoid muscles of his back and
rip upward with terrifying force. (SK c. 56)
His (Marty) mother comes in and kisses him goodnight (brusquely, not
looking at his stick-like legs under the sheet). (SK c. 65)
His (Marty) useless scarecrow legs, so much dead weight, drag along
behind him. (SK c. 68)
(Halloween) Marty went as Yoda, a big rubber Don Post mask pulled down
over his head and a voluminous robe on which covered his wasted legs. (SK c. 97)
There is a low, snorting grunt, and a wild, terrifying smell – like something
you would smell in the lion-house of a zoo. (SK c. 80)
Its (werewolf) thick upper lip, the color of liver, wrinkles back to show its
heavy tusk-like teeth. … its clawed hands, so like-unlike human hands, reaching
for his throat… (SK c. 70)
14
(Werewolf is dead and turning back into a human) The claws melt
magically away to fingernails… fingernails that have been almost pathetically
gnawed and bitten. (C. 126)
часто появляются такие слова как all, every, everybody, a million, a thousand,
ever,never и другие.
On the shortest night of the year, Alfie Knopfler, who runs the Chat`n
Chew, Tarker’s Mills only café, polishes his long Formica counter to a gleaming
brightness,... (SK c. 53)
Herman lives in a world of violently active children, kids who run races,
bash baseballs, swim rally sprints. (SK c. 61)
Outside, the wind howls and screams against the snow-filled sky, and in
Tarker’s Mills, the first minute of the new year becomes history. (SK c. 127)
П. (successive R.).
15
Love would be like a kiss at dawn… or the last kiss, the real one, at the end
of the Harlequin romance stories… love would be like roses in twilight… (SK c.21)
… (wickedness yes love would be like wickedness)…( SK c. 22)
But love! Love is like… is like… like a scream – (SK c. 22)
‘Werewolf made those tracks,’ Pete says, ‘You know it, Alice knows it,
most of the people in this town know it. Hell, even I know it, and I come from the
next county over.’ (SK c. 90)
(Marty found out who is the werewolf) But Marty Coslaw knows. (c.97)
He knows. He knows who the werewolf is... … Marty knows and not just because
the men is wearing an eyepatch. (SK c. 98)
Tarker’s Mills is a small town, but it is spread out, and until tonight Marty
has not seen a one-eyed man, and he has not dared to ask questions; his mother is
already afraid that the July episode may have permanently marked him. He is
afraid that if he tries any out-and-out sleuthing it will eventually get back to her.
Besides – Tarker’s Mills is a small town. (SK c. 100)
But he (Reverend) also knows that on some mornings, usually during the
period when the moon is full, he awakes feeling amazingly good, amazingly well,
amazingly strong. (SK c. 110)
16
And, incredibly, over the werewolf’s mad howling, over the wind’s
screaming, over the clap and clash of his own tottering thoughts about how this can
possibly be in the world of real people and real things, over all of this Al hears his
nephew say: ‘Poor old Reverend Lowe. I’m gonna try to set you free.’ (SK c. 125)
(Marty just shot the werewolf) Al hugs Marty tight, tight, tight. (SK c.
126)
(Oxymoron) –
There is nothing of God or Light in that heartless sound – it is all black
winter and dark ice.
Love is like dying.
(Metonymy) –
The town keeps it’s secrets.
Another woman has tried to make a go of the Corner Bookshop and failed,
but the barber shop, The Market Basket, and The Pub are doing business at the
same old places, thank you very much. (SK c. 119); (парикмахер, продавец,
(Irony) –
Constable Neary surveys his audience and then goes on from his place in
Stan Pelky’s middle barber chair, speaking weightily, speaking judicially, speaking
psychologically, all from the depths of his high school education (Neary is a big,
beefy man, and in high school he mostly made touchdowns for the Tarker’s Mills
Tigers; his classwork earned him some C’s and not a few D’s). (SK c. 77)
(Werewolf tried to kill Martin but failed and lost its eye. They both made
the house wake up) ‘What was that?’ His mother’s voice, not sounding a bit
brusque.
17
‘Who’s there, goddammit?’ His father, not sounding very much like Big
Pal.
‘Marty?’ Kate, her voice quavering, not sounding mean at all. ‘Marty, are
you all right?’
Grandfather Coslaw sleeps through the whole thing. (SK c. 70).
